The Course at Wente Vineyards

Visually spectacular, a gem of California golf. It’s a good mix of hard and easier holes.

What kills any enjoyment at a course is pace of play. With no marshals, the course has about 3-4 choke points that add 30-40 minutes to a round.

Only design flaw is last 3 holes similar dog right 400 yards..

Fast greens, great sand, elevation changes and gorgeous views. It’s worth it if can get for under $100

Very seldom do you play a course where the next hole is complety different from the previous hole.THIS IS A MUST PLAY COURSE FOR ALL GOLFERS. The risk reward 10th hole is one of the best designed holes ever.You could take a small bucket of balls and hit every club in the bag off the tee (I've drove the green) and have a makable approach shot.

Play was very slow, barely finished 16 holes, started at 1pm, cart broke down, called the club house 3 times but no cart came, finally we had go down pick up the cart, we saw marshall once, complained to him about slow play but he said this is normal.

I would not play or I recommend, good luck

We started at 1pm, group in front of us was 2 holes behind yet Marshall said they are on time to play, we saw Marshall only once. We had to skip the slow group and 2 holes 10 and 11 holes to barely finish 16 holes. On the 6th hole one of our carts stopped in the middle, called the club house 3 times for the cart. Proshop responded that we will send someone quick but no one showed up and we started to walk with our bags. finally on the 8th tee box we had to go down pick up another cart. After finishing the 9 holes we were at food and beverage place. He did not have any food like sandwich or hot dogs, only chips, bars and alcohol available, no coffee or tea available either.

Over all it was very disappointing round and we all felt like it is not worth the price.

This is always a great course play especially if u can find a hot deal from GolfNow. Will play here again if have chance.

Course played great and the weather was beautiful. Only complaint would be pace was way off. Stern marshalls other than when the carts were due in would have made it much more enjoyable.

Greens were fast, and the rest of the course was in great condition.

Course is in fantastic condition but the customer service issues there are the problem. Employees inside and out act like they would rather be anywhere else but there. Just a poor reflection on a beautiful course and I now remember why I don’t return. In the golf course business it’s all about the customer experience and they don’t have it there- yet.

I called the clubhouse 1/2 hour before my tee time to let them know I would be late and would start on 2nd hole. when I got to 1st tee box a check in man asked me with a condescending voice “do you have a tee time?” as if I tried to snick in !

When I got to 2nd hole to find out they let someone else to take my spot and we had to play 5-some .
