The Course at Wente Vineyards

This course is spectacular. Well maintained, fun layout, and incredivle views.

The only gripe I have which is very reasonable is to have a marshall. We got stuck behind a group who sucked and took forever which pushed the round to almost 4.5 hrs. Easily would have been under 4 without them.

Excellent course conditions in the middle of vineyards. My complaint is about the messages that keep popping up on the GPS system of the cart . Annoyingly high number of informational messages keep popping seemingly every couple of minutes .

Great layout with a variety of challenges.

Always in excellent condition with some of the best greens in the East Bay.

Too bad they don’t have marshals out on the course monitoring pace of play.

It’s gotten pricey too but that’s golf in 2021.

Course played very well, for playing it your first time you need to look at some of the blind landing areas. Very impressed by this gem! Definitely will be playing again!

Course is very challenging, amenities are spot on. I didn’t play well, but I had a fantastic day.

Played from the gold tees which present some quite long par 4s. Layout is beautiful, conditions of tees and fairways were excellent, but greens were not that great. I’d definitely play again, but my wallet can’t handle the price too often :(

One of the most or maybe the most beautiful public course I played in the Bay Area... Only negative - driving range was closed...

This course has many dynamic looks with incredible views, although some of the holes don’t work all that well, but overall a fantastic track, maybe a little expensive!! Also this course is very good condition!

As close to a resort experience you can get on a public course. Fast greens, good people and a great view

In terms of course layout, this is maybe the most fun I’ve ever played. Lots of dramatic elevation changes and fantastic views, and plays in a way that is not overly challenging for a higher handicapper.

The course was in pretty good shape but not top tier. Greens not quite as fast as I would expect and some were in poor shape.

We played early so pace of play was excellent.

My biggest complaint is that compared to other courses I’ve played in this price range the amenities were mediocre. Our tee time was just before 7 on a Saturday and nothing was open, so I couldn’t even get a coffee before the round. At the turn, which was after 9, stilll nothing open. On a Saturday I’d expect to be able to get coffee at minimum. I realize labor shortages have been a problem during COVID so perhaps that’s to blame.

All in all this is a top notch course you should definitely play. Well worth the price even without the amenities.
