The Course at Wente Vineyards

Course was great. Pace of play was not. Needed a marshal on the course. Very rude group in front of us slowing down play for many groups behind ours.

If your going to pay this much for a round of golf, Go to Yocha DeHe instead, it's much better, the employee's have much better attitudes and they are actually Happy to see you.

At Yocha the greens there are much better, the Driving Range is much Better. The practice facilities are much better.

Wente just treats everyone like Cattle.

Wente is close to home and has a nice layout, That's about it.

Beautiful vistas!! Very challenging layout OB right and OB lleft on holes #1,4......Vineyards. Very quick greens.

Pace could be better. There were 2 groups waiting to tee off on a few holes. excellent condition.

Played in a threesome in 4-hrs. Course in great condition. Greens very fast. Not sure what kind of grass is used on the greens but not very green:)

I understand this course to be semi-private. I took a customer to play and we were paired with two “members”. Before the round, I asked the pro shop if there was an opportunity to play on our own so we could discuss business without disrupting anyone else in the group. The pro shop obliged and sent us out 5 minutes prior to our original tee time. AWESOME! Well, so we thought... At hole 8 we were approached by the two members we were originally paired with and they were unbelievably aggressive. Making unnecessary comments and using foul language because we were playing “slow” and wouldn’t let them pass. Additionally, he kept asking why would we want to split the group if we weren’t going to keep pace. Well, we arrived to hole 8 within 45 minutes. I don’t know what the usual pace is here, but 7 holes in 45 minutes seems to be a good pace. The whole experience was very unfortunate and I feel worse for my customer having to experience that behavior. I have a strong feeling at this course this is the culture with “members” to the general public. All-in-all, if this is the “members” objective, it works because there’s too many other great courses to play with great people.
