Just smile
If the staff in the Pro Shop would smile it would be a more inviting place to play golf. The course was a little wet from a midnight shower but there was no standing water and the greens were soft enough to hold your ball if you are able to get some loft.
The pace of play was slow than I expected for an 11:00 tee time. The group ahead of us were right on the tails of the group ahead of them so it wasn't their issue. I saw a marshall only once and the cart/beverage cart only once in 18 holes. A little more attention to those details would have made it better,.
...a great day...
...we had excellent, hot weather for the day and the course was in very good conditions...fairways green and cut and the greens were very challenging to putt for me...i'm going again...
Nice course but a little noisy
Been wanting to play this course for some time as it is visible from I-15. Nice track but the holes that are close to the freeway provide a constant drone of car noise. This effects about 6 holes. After that nice and quiet.
The best greens I have ever putted on. Great shape
This course is very challenging. You can't just pull out your driver and rip it. Makes you use clubs and play shots not normally played. I had a great time playing this course. The greens were awesome and you really have to think about where you want to hit your shots into the green.
In great condition even this time of the year.
This was a great round. The staff was as friendly and helpful as they always are.
Nice course
We played on Saturday 10/12/13 at 1030. Course was wet from the previous rain fall, but greens were fast. There are 3 sets of 9 holes and we playes the Oaks to Stone. Both courses have lots of character and quite a few shots are blind, so bringing your own GPS would help with navigating your shots. The renovation of the "19th hole" that was recently completed is a huge plus, yet a bit pricey for food/drinks. Since the rate of play was good, it was easy for me to get into my rhythmn and have fun.
Beautiful scenery and challenging tee placement
Absolutely loved the course, ran into a couple of the staff on the back 9 and finished with them they were super friendly. The greens were a bit fast but thats ok im not that great anyhow.
Will back many more times :)
overpriced
Friendly staff, good rate of play, good condition.
there is a good number of golf venues in the immediate area that offer an equal or better experience for less.
best course in the area
Fairways are in great condition, greens are soft but fast, sandtraps are real sand and not dirt. It is a resort and is an excellent place to play and through golf now, affordable.
Good value for the GolfNow.com price
Played the Stone House then Oaks tracks. Stone House is not for the faint at heart - very tough and challenging with more blind shots than not. Despite the recent 100deg temps the greens and fairways were in good condition. Could tell that they watered the course frequently throughout the day. Can still see historic Indian artifacts throughout layout. The Oaks course was the easiest of the two tracks; however, can still be challenging with numerous elevation changes. Club selection against the valley breeze and elevation shifts proved challenging. Neither track is designed for beginner play. Driving range uses mats instead of grass. Despite positive comments, would not pay more than the reduced GolfNow.com price.
First timer.
Fun course with the chance to use every club in the bag. Greens are excellent with true roll and consistent speeds. Great overall experience. Will definitely play again.
Temecula Creek
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was slow, and people not fixing their ball marks.
Fun, Traditional Golf Course
I teed off at about 9am on a Sunday. The staff was friendly and professional. From tee to green, the course conditions were above average. The greens were quick and mostly smooth, with a few unfixed ball marks. I played Oaks to Stone House nines. The Oaks is flat and tree-lined, while the Stone House winds through the hills Pace of play was good, about four hours with little waiting until the end of the round. A real, old style, country feel to the Inn and the golf experience.
Love this course, however pace of play was terrible on the Oaks..
I paid for my Dad and I to spend some quality time golfing together, having played Creek/Oaks a few times I was excited to share it with him. We Teed off at 8:37 on 7/13. The first nine on the Creek course was great, at an even pace.. I shot a 47 (very good for me) My Dad beat me by just a few strokes. When we got to the back nine oaks course, things slowed to a halt. We stood around waiting for the foursome ahead on every hole. They took over 10 minutes on each green,(after spraying it all over the fairway from the blue tees) They read putts like they were Tiger Woods. At one point, they each measured the distance from each ball to the hole with the flag as if deciding who was away? By the final hole we had to yell at them. No consideration, they need to understand "ready golf" No Marshall around, one is needed in times like these. An otherwise great day of golf was ruined by four clueless golfers.
I love this course!!!
One of the best courses in So Cal, challenging, pristine condition, friendly staff, and beautiful mountainous backdrop setting make this course a very desirable place to spend a few hours of your time at.
Beautiful and well maintained
The course was in great shape and well maintained, but the bunkers were tuff to hit out of because of the sand they were using in them. The sand became hardpacked from the sprinklers making it difficult to hit a normal sandwedge. Overall, it was still an enjoyable rund of golf.
The afternoon breeze makes play more challenging.
We played the Stonehouse followed by the Oak Course and had a great time. The starter told us that the former is more difficult than the later, but somehow I scored 3 strokes better at the front nine. The wind was blowing stronger later that afternoon, so it must be the wind factor. The after 2pm rate of $32 is a great deal...can't wait to play again next week.
Good choice for golf in Temecula
Always enjoy golf at Temecula Creek. The greens were recently top-dressed but were puttable. Perfect weather and the pace of play was about 4 hours.
Greate scenery of surronding Temecula hills and valley.
Course is always in great shape. Played the Oaks to Creek combination which I prefer. Stonehouse nine has hills and is more challenging.
An energizing experience for a terrific price.
I am a high handicap player (20) who loves an inexpensive round of golf since I'm going to spend a few extra bucks on the lost balls during 18 - lol. To find this, generally you either put up with patchy fairways or bumpy greens. You will find neither of them here at Temecula Creek Inn! All three 9 hole courses (StoneHouse - Oaks - Creek) are very nicely maintained for a very reasonable price. I and my son played twice this spring (Stone House & Creek, Oaks & Stone House) during twilight hours/rates. The staff was terrific and helpful and the facilities rivaled private courses I've visited. Greens are smooth and medium fast, while the terrain is delightful. Each course has its own personality and variety - no boring, straight par fours here. The fairways are friendly enough to accomodate the occasional slice while challenging and beautiful with changes in elevation and bends! I travel 50 minutes to play and its worth the longer drive over the courses closer to me in the Inland Empire.
