About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Really quiet (not close to highway like many)
Great challenge...just to bad, the win was really, really cold
I had a good hot deal on golf now so I am super happy with my expereince
New Greens
New Greens have really improved the quality of the course. I havent played it in a few years but glad i did. The greens rolled really well.
Good value
Nice value on this day. The greens rolled well and the fairways were not bad after a good bit of rain a day or 2 before. Pace of play was bad on the front 9. A ranger informed us that he told a group to get moving. On the back the foursome in front of us was playing a two man scramble and didn't seem to mind their pace of play as the sun was rapidly going down. Off the fairway the rough is rough. Would recommend as it is inexpensive (Golf Now) as opposed to other island courses.
the most helpful and friendly staff. They were unbelievably good! Course could use some TLC! Sand traps were uneven at best.Greens were in great shape. Very few ball marks. Had a beverage after the round and the server was attentive,diligent,and incredibly personable.
Enjoyable Course
Course was in good condition… greens rolled well … subtle breaks. Pace of play was great. Nice practice area … Range balls provided … good chipping and putting. Staff were the best of any course I’ve played on HHI so far … very nice experience… booked another round at Proshop on the way out.

Had a great time playing Bear Creek. Friendly staff, course was in great condition. Would recommend and come back.
Good conditions, great value.
Greens were smooth and reasonably fast. Narrow fairways require accurate tee shots. Bunkers need more sand.
Overall great value- would definitely play again.

Start time was delayed and round was a bit slow, otherwise we had a good time and enjoyed the course
