Bear Creek Golf Club

Ranger admitted it was slow at the turn but nothing got better.

The course has some very interesting holes & we enjoyed the layout

Great course to play. However, there was no marshal to keep a fair pace. Waited 10 minutes past our tee time with 2 sets of very slow 4somes ahead of my group, resulting in us getting 15 holes in 5 hours. I've played here many times, but this time was by far the longest.

The pace of play was terrible!

Tee off on 10 scheduled for 2:44 about 10 min late only got in 15 holes and that was aided by making the turn to 1 and playing the cal again to avoid the persistent waiting.

All groups were off 10 to start and there were three groups ahead of us at 10th tee to start. At one point there were four groups all playing on one hole and three groups on a par three back up.

With a 2:44 tee time we only got in 15 holes and that was by making the turn at 18 and replaying the back nine rather than the front as there were two groups playing one and no one on 10.

And never saw a Marshall to assist with pace of play.

Overall the course was in very good condition. Staff was friendly

Pretty nice course - good for the price. Cartt paths need lots of work and clubhouse is old. Did not eat at the restaurant.

Got a good Hot Deal rate for mid afternoon. Only drawback was the pace was so slow that we played the front twice because we never would have finished the round had we continued onto back nine. No Marshall present to move things along.

No Marshalls on course to move pace of play; no Bev cart service on a busy afternoon. Cart staff not welcoming. Course was ok.

Enjoyed alot was paired up with 3 great Guys from Kentucky area. Made a great day even better. Staff was great and starter took the time to bring my Wife and I glasses for the water on the course. Fairways were in very good shape and greens were maintained well but a little slow and no break. Would certainly play again.

Sand traps were in poor condition: little sand covering dirt. No cups at water stations. For a few dollars more we could have played nicer courses.

Bear Creek was fun and challenging. Course was in Good condition. Greens hold and roll true. A few tight pin placements made for a tough 1/2-putt. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. Got finished in 4 hours with ease. Staff was friendly and the clubhouse grill post round had good food and nice staff. Will return next time on the Island! Thanks for your hospitality.
