About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Lots of doglegs
Decent layout, but two many doglegs that takes driver out of your hands. Greens were very good, fairways okay, bunkers not great as some bunkers had little sand and were unkept with grass growing in the bunkers.
Slow play
Enjoyed the course. Over five hours was a bit annoying.
It was a nice course. Lots of sand. Distance wasn't too bad, but it made up for it with the number of bunkers on the course. I do have to say, the best sandwich I ever had was with the clubhouse after golf. The pulled pork sandwich was amazng.
Birdies on deck
Course in challenging with plenty of birdie opportunities. Club selection should be a focal point. Greens are in great shape. Had fun on this track. I will play here again.
Good shape
The course was in nice shape. Especially the back nine. Bunkers are in need of work and no rakes and little sand.
Pace of play was not good. Never saw a ranger and we were at 4 hours and 40 minutes. We waited in almost every shot. No one ever thought about letting faster groups through. Thai needs to be addressed before I would play again. But I do want to end with the course itself is a very good track!

Really nice layout great greens played in less than four hours.
First time playing, friendly staff, nice range, would definitely play again. Country club feel.
Very Nice Course
The staff in the pro shop and the clubhouse were super friendly. The pace of play was great. Greens were awesome. Fairways aren't quite awake yet. This was an enjoyable course to play. Will definitely come back here again. Loved the scenery, especially all the trees with the Spanish Moss.
