About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Great deal!
The staff was friendly, very nice range and balls are included with greens fee. The course is challenging and in very good condition. We plan on playing again while we’re here.
Narrow fairways
Not for the faint of heart. Narrow fairways together with hazards and bunkers surrounding the greens made this course more challenging than necessary. Our foursome lost quite a few balls.
Just a great course for the value
This was our third time playing Bear Creek. We played this course a couple of times in the brutal heat in August but loved it. This time we had perfect golfing weather and the course was in great condition. The starter was great and we had met him back in August. Very friendly staff. All in all, a very good day of golf.

Golf course was in great condition even with all the rain that we had last night. Had to skip a hole, 3 some was very slow. After that, it likes we had the course to ourself. Will go again.
Nice friendly layout, very fare course! Fast greens!
Slow Play
Unfortunately play was extremely slow. Should be able to ply the front nine in 2 hours.

Okay: tight and repetitive
Nice condition. Fast greens. Very tight course that demands straight tee ball on almost every hole. Nothing too special in course layout. All the holes seem the same. Straight and tight with woods down each side.
