About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Decent day
Fairway grass was greener today than two weeks ago which was nice. Yellow grass a bit sparse in some of the rough. Attendants were nice but limited on services they helped us with. Clubhouse attendant was busy when went to check in and had to wait a few minutes. Pace of play for Saturday afternoon was good, little waiting and little pressure. For the price a very good value.
Big Mike was Great!!
Course and greens were great! some issues with no grass in areas with a lot of tree cover. My wife and I really enjoyed golf there. After golf the food was very good. the starter Big Mike was super!!
Bear Creek review
Awesome experience. Starter was great. Got out early. Pace of play was really good. Course was great for this time of year. I would recommend Bear Creek to anyone!
The entire staff at Bear Creek were courteous and respectful. From the pro shop to the starter to the restaurant, everyone was informative and polite.
Great for forty bucks
Everything solid. A little weird cuz members musta been jumping around holes cuz we saw a couple random golfers here and there. Winter conditions so fairways a bit yellow. White tees weren’t too hard. Even without hole diagrams on score card or on each hole tee box display, holes were clear to see what was needed to do mostly.
Not a bad course
For first time golfers on this course it needs to have more directions on which way to the first tee and a diagram of each hole would be helpful.
Nice course and good value for us Canucks
Course was in good shape and the price was ok as well for the area. Keep an open eye for the odd gator!
Fast and well maintained greens
This time of year fairways and rough suffer but that's the reason for winter rules
The greens were near perfect traps in good shape

Course in good condition, good value
One of my favorite courses on HHI. It's not the overall best course, but it's a darn good one, and a much better value than most of the higher rated coursed.
Nice course with features
Everyone friendly with good amenities, cart paths are natural, enjoyed our round very much!
