About
Ironwood Golf Course is an 18-hole course with many challenging elements. There are water hazards that come into play on five holes and the holes that don't have water have strategically placed sand bunkers coming in to play. All of the greens are sloped and some are undulating as well. One interesting asset of the course is the extensive mounding; the unique and interesting placement can cause uneven lies. The course is tricky but there are three sets of tee boxes to adapt to a variety of abilities and handicaps. The Ironwood Golf Course facility also features practice facilities including a putting green and chipping area.

Nice course
It was a cloudy day with showers so the two of us played a round pretty fast as we were the only ones out there. Not a long course which is nice for us higher handicaps.
Excellent course conditions
The fairways were in top condition. The greens could have be a little faster, however.
My complaint was in the slow play of the foursome ahead of us. We were a twosome and the Sunlakes foursome ahead of us showed no interest in letting us play through.
Executive course
This course is in good shape considering it is late June in AZ. A couple of par 5s, unusual for an executive course so challenging for all. Restaurant was good as well.
Great course for recreational golfers
Paid online through golf now and paid upfront fee of $35.00 and should of had $139.05 balance at the course and ended up paying $75.00 and some change per couple which ends up being over $150.00 and change. This is the second time this has happened. I will never go through golf now and will call course for tee time.
Great for a quick easy round
We got through the course in about 3 hours. Shorter course and very forgiving. Not too much sand or water to deal with. Great course.
Black Friday round.
Par 67 so course was rather short. Thought pace of play could of been quicker because of the shortness. First time a pro shop questioned that I had actually paid in full on golf now. Showed my confirmation to prove I had.
The year off paid off.
Course was in great condition after taking a year to renovate. Nice job.
Great course at Sun Lakes
The Ironwood Golf Course was a great course, longer than an executive course, but shorter than regulation size. The staff in the bar grill afterward were friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely be playing this course again.
GOLF NOW PLAYERS BEWARE
Had a 2 pm tee time. Got there early for a nice lunch before. No bag drop. Went to restaurant waited for five minutes for a server. Finally went to bar to ask to be served. Sorry I am too busy. I will get to you as soon as I can. Waited another 10 minutes no server. We left. GolfNow fee was $20. Course from white tees 4,000 yards no driving range.
enjoyabe
Very well maintained course with straightforward layout and generous hitting areas. This is not the place to go for a long and challenging round BUT it is fun to play and a relaxing round. As long as you have the right expectations, you will enjoy.
Great course for the money
I liked the course layoutand pace of play. Staff were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this course
