Dobson Ranch Golf Course

One of the better value muni-courses that is a staple in our weekly golf routine. We have made this course our “go to” for early morning rounds before a busy day. Fabio, Maverick, and the Lou-Meister take good care of us.

The Smashers facility provides top notch practice tools and is a great edition to course. It may be one of the best kept secrets in the valley golfing community.

Don’t let anyone fool you. All Arizona courses are challenged during transition periods from summer to winter and winter back to summer. Desert grass leaves a lot to be desired, but the grounds crew at Dobson does a great job, trying to ensure that the course is always playable and fairways are always free and open.

Very pleasant and professional staff. However, the course condition was a little rough. Fairways were inconsistent, bare and over-watered in several areas, causing soft, somewhat muddy conditions. Several times we needed to clean and place our drives. Greens were consistent and in fair condition.

I only played 12 holes. Weather was hot and played with 2 young golfs that have not played golf very long. They were slow on there pace of play.

The course was fair condition, but I have seen it in excellent condition before. Personal were out of this world. Very friendly and helpful staff, I have recommend several people to play there.

This is my local golf course, and I play it so often that I can only say great things about it.

On the other hand, there are parts of the course Especially on par 4’s and 5’s, where there is simply just missing grass and it’s getting quite muddy. It’s quite normal for this time of the year for course conditions to suffer, so I did not ding the rating, but it is important to note. Course conditions are not as they usually are.

great course for the cost, pretty forgiving and the staff is really friendly

Course is amazing. It’s clean it’s Course is laid-back the staff is friendly. The food is great. One of their staff members Mark he’s helped us with a golf tournament that I’ve had there and he’s always amazing always attentive always friendly always has a smile on his face. I left my sunglasses there. I wasn’t able to get through on the phone to see if somebody may have turned it in so I went there in person ran into Mark and he knew what I was talking about and found them for me right away. Highly recommend this course.

From the moment you walk into DR, you're greeted by bangers - this time it was "Toxic" by Britney Spears (one of my all time favorite songs). From there, you're greeted by a smiling face ready to take you to your cart and point you to the first tee...but not before you crank out a few stingers on the trackman range and load up the cooler with their "buy 5 get 1 free" beer special. Once you're on the course, you're in for a great round surrounded by some really pretty homes and challenging holes. The hardest part about this course is the greens - faster and real curvaceous. All in all, a great track and such a great bang for the buck. I will always continue to return to The Ranch!

Nice course. Probably the best all around staff that have come across. Everyone - pro shop, starter, beverage cart, cart guys were all super nice. Manager must treat the staff well as they all seemed to enjoy working there.

A lot of bare dirt lies in the fairways due to a rough rye/bermuda transition. Greens suffered from same transition. Pool table hard and fast. Tees recently aerated and tees positioned in sandy zones. Conditions a little rough but still a great facility and staff. They even delivered Otter Pops on course during the round.

Was able to play in a 3some group , fastest ever , no hold ups and pace of play was as fast as you wanted! Course was in good shape other than tee boxes being punched

Best staff in the valley / course is ok / greens fast and play a lot of break. Fairways are definitely marginal and overwatered for the amount of grass they have.
