Dobson Ranch Golf Course is an enjoyable track suitable for all ages and abilities. The course has generous fairways and large greens. There is an abundance of forestry; not only are there trees lining the fairways but they are also situated throughout, making accuracy top priority. There are also water hazards and bunkers to look out for. Dobson Ranch Golf Course has a reputation for being immaculately kept and consistently being in excellent condition. On the premises there is also a convenient lighted driving range as well as other practice facilities. There is also a pro shop that carries a full line of discounted professional golf equipment.

Looking good post over seed
Course looking good post over seed. Fairway green and greens running slow at the moment but are in excellent shape. Looking forward to my next round here.
Dobson Ranch GC
Just opened after overseed and was glad to see they waited to open so they could cut the greens lower than typical. They were a little slow but putted true. Overall the course was in good condition.
Slow play
Need a good ranger to keep slow players moving on both front and back nines.
Should be able to play this course in less then 4 hours easily.
Always injoy play at Dobson. Keep up the great job.

Preceeding round
Even though the course has the grass cut low for future seeding it was very Playable. The ball would roll farther if in the fairway.
If you “skin” it don’t offer tee times
The driving range was nice and the practice green was ok. The course was very, very dry with grass clippings blowing all over the place. I’m my opinion, the course should already be closed go over seeding. It was hard to enjoy the day with these conditions.

We typically use all channels available whether it is over the phone, online in our booking notes, and in person at check in to inform our guests about current course conditions during these times. DRGC Being Readied for Overseeding
It was a surprise to me and my playing partners (as well as the Starter) that the course was already being scalped in preparation for the annual overseeding. Tees, fairways and rough were all cut to ground level, making it a challenge to properly strike the ball with solid ground beneath the ball. As they had already stopped watering the course, it was nearly impossible to insert a tee into the ground. The ball most-definitely rolled well, given the conditions, but making the ball stay on a dry green was difficult; however, greens did roll true, with fair speed. Sand traps only had a dusting of sand on the surface. Pace was good (just at 4 hours), with a full complement of players on the course. Value was reasonable, but it would have been nice to know beforehand that the course was in transition, allowing me to consider alternative options. Suggest waiting 3 weeks before playing there, allowing the grass time to grow/mature; noting cart path only restrictions will be in place for awhile after that….

Great value for the money
My group really liked the layout. Playing at this time of the year, ground crews are working extra hard to prepare for overseeing. Playing conditions were pretty good and we look forward to coming back again after the winter grass grows in.
Staff was extra helpful. There was a snag in the tee time reservation system and we ended up with 5 players. They accommodated us and we kept our side of the bargain by playing ready golf. We finished in 4 hours and the group behind us was not in sight. Hats off to the staff for accommodating us.

Second time playing this course. the first time the pace of play was ridiculous. This time the course was in the process of being scalped for overseeding. The pro shop should have told me this. I would never have paid $54 for this trash. Left after 9 holes! Sandtraps were thin dart on concrete. The whole course was a dirt trap. Fckn disgrace!!

An Above average golf course for price and conditions. It was a busy day and there’s some sort of waiting here and there, but my round only took 4 hours 15 minutes. Not bad at all. I will play here again.
Fun course
Always super friendly here! Great practice range and practice greens! Course condition on this round was just okay due to them prepping for overseeding next week. Greens were actually running pretty smooth and fast. I'll be back
Not for the public
Convinced me to buy a smash pass and ranch card thinking it would make golf more convenient. They’ve shut down the course and range multiple times without any word besides a Facebook post , they shut it down for random social media events and college practice . Would not recommend buying any memberships from them because it does not grant you access on a majority of the days .

The Ranch Card and Smash Pass are programs designed to make the course more accessible to everyone by making the cost of golf and practice significantly lower over time. Every so often, our course does get an inquiry for a tournament for charity, Junior/College events, as well as traveling leagues. Anytime we have an event like this, we post about it through every outlet we have available as well as blocking all tee times so that there are no booking conflicts.
The same applies for the driving range, as we host corporate outings, junior clinics, women's clinics, community events, and more but they don't often take the entire range. Anytime there is limited space on the range we post on social media and send emails to our opt in customers.
While we are always working to improve, we understand that we can't be perfect and sometimes people have back luck in showing up only to find we are hosting an event, or have a longer wait than normal to use the facility. We understand that seeing the beverage cart once is less than ideal, and unfortunately when we get busy the time it takes to make it around for her goes up.
