Legendary Dobson Ranch!
I routinely play the legendary Dobson ranch with white ice. Last time out he shot a 39 on the back from the tips. Also the bunkers have the finest sand - ice hit an 18 foot backspin shot from 40 yards out on number 6. A lot like sevvie ballesteros.
The vibe here is amazing. Thank you for continuing to provide an amazing experience.

Terrible Condition
Couldn’t find much grass in the fairways, mostly dirt. I’ve been here in Scottsdale for two weeks and played here based on the reviews. This course is by far the worst one I’ve played. Non member green fees with a cart are way over priced based on the poor condition of the course.
DOB Ranc
I went as a single, as always teamed up with some good players that were very nice and friendly. I did forget my rangefinder, and when I came back the following week, I was able to retrieve it from lost and found from the cart barn employee by the name of Mark, this just tells you that the staff is honest, hard-working, and a pleasure to be around
Great course, great value
Great facility and course, I love to play here! Highly recommend!
Great course, horrible course pace managers
I've played here 3 times now and the course is beautiful and maintained really well. Also 90% of the staff are friendly and nice to communicate with. However every time I've come here with out fail I've had a course pace manager yell at us for some thing or another. I've been playing golf since I was 14 (I'm 26 now) I know what a good pace to the game is and if you're going to be spending 40-80 bucks a game I'd expect a better way to make you feel appreciated for coming and playing no matter the skill level.
Great experience
Dobson ranch is a very nice course. Greene were fast. Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was good as well. Can’t wait to go back.
The best public course in town.
Dobson never disappoints. The staff is always top notch. Course was in great shape. Always the best.
Disappointed
The rate for a round was the only saving grace. Conditions were fine for the summer, but there were two major issues - pace of play was atrocious and course layout. The starter seemed like it was his first day and did not organize the groups. 5+ hour round on a Wednesday afternoon. Imagine a Saturday morning. The layout is stacked so close that you’ll have people hitting into you for most of the front 9, which slows pace even more. Overall unfortunate as the course is in a good location. I’m practice facility is cool if you like hitting off mats, they’re also shaded which is nice.
Very Enjoyable
Pro shop staff was super welcoming, the starter was friendly and got us off to a good start, the greens were fine. As I review this, it's just ahead of overseeding and so the tee boxes and fairways can use it...but, they were pretty good overall.
great staff, top public facility
staff gave us info on "Ranch Card" and free demo of "Smashers on the Range", great practice and warm-up areas, teed off early because 1st hole was open.
Put up nets on 9 & 10
I love playing here. It’s my home course and never disappoints. It’s looking pretty ready for over seeding in a couple weeks. 3.5 hour round early in the morning. However, every time you play 9 and 10 they are littered with range balls in the fairways. It takes twice as long to play those two holes which is half the reason for the backup around the turn. Put up nets on the sides of the driving range. This increases safety of golfers on those holes and speeds up pace around the turn. No one is going to shout fore from the driving range. Every other respectable course has nets on the side of their range when it’s situated this close to the holes. The popularity of this course has blown up, they can afford nets.
This is a fun course
The improvements that have been made to this course over the last few years have turned it into a really good value.
Great round
Had a midday tee time and was grouped with two other singles and went off exactly at our time. Started was super nice and kept everyone moving which was nice to see. We each had our own carts which was a bonus as some other courses have forced cart sharing. We moved pretty quickly through the first four holes and then things slowed down. By the seventh tee, a ranger came around to hurry up the groups in front of us and told us that we are good on pace, but the groups in front of us are behind and they are looking to hurry them up. Have not seen this much out here, so that was awesome. Pace picked up a bit on the back nine, but it was such a nice day, I did not really care. The course was in great shape with fun holes across the front and back nines. Bar looked solid with good outdoor seating options. All in all, great experience and I will be back again.
