Dobson Ranch Golf Course

This course plays harder due to greens being difficult to make putts.

As usual the course was in good condition The staff is great. Been playing here for 25 years

Been playing golf for almost 50 years and this was the first time I was hit with an errant shot from another golfer.

The course has no way to prevent that, but it put a damper on what would have been a really great day.

I will still return to DR.

I go to the driving range @ Dobson ranch at least once a week & play the course multiple times a month. I believe that this course with all the amenities puts most other courses in the valley to shame…my main reasons for saying this is the course provides something fun to do for all skill ranges especially people just picking up the sport. While still maintaining a good expectation of course etiquette they allow you to play music while playing (speakers on carts), have music playing at the top tracer range, & a ton of mini games laid out for kids all through out the week. Dobson ranch in my opinion has perfected the balance of keeping the sport true to its roots and adding many draws for new and young players like myself to get invested without just struggling in silence on a boring range/course. My final point on why Dobson ranch is my go-to is the staff that makes the course run. All the people in the pro shop, restaurant, & maintenance staff are extremely friendly and willing to help you out at any point. Many of them have remembered my name at various points and will spark up a convo just to see how things are going, which really makes the course feel like a community to new players. Love what they’re doing at Dobson ranch and excited to see what they will do on the future! High recommended!!

Fairway grass is a little spotty In several areas, but was playable.

The only complaint I had was the mowers buzzing around us a lot. On one fairway it was like a swarm of bees buzzing around us all the way up the fairway. There were 3 mowers. If they would stop while you hit it wouldn’t be bad, or keep moving, but when they stop and go in your backswing, it is nerve wracking.

love playing here because the staff is always friendly and doing their best to improve the mood and setting. Course is well managed and has tricky greens.

The course was pretty stacked up and a group was holding the course up for most of the time. The greens were being worked on as we were playing so you had guys on loud equipment interfering with the game which was a bit annoying. First time playing the course and I don’t think I’ll be back.

Started early to beat the heat. Was getting warm when we finished about 11:15. Nice course. Had some good challenges with traps, water, trees and curvy sloped greens. I’m ready to try it again.

Dobson Ranch has always been a course that has excellent playability if the course is maintained. The greens were in good shape and the pace of play was steady. For a municipal course , I don't know if you will find a better one in the country.

First time, range tracer was excellent. Staff was very friendly and course well maintained. Love the Bluetooth speakers on the carts.

Dobson used to be my regular spot, but it’s been very disappointing this year. Prices have significantly increased and the course is in worse shape than it was previous years. Not sure why that is. there are large sections of both overgrown weeds and mud with no grass at all throughout the fairways and rough. The greens were aerified weeks ago and still haven’t recovered. Not to mention how difficult it is to get a tee time here. To top it off, the Marshall was rude and pushed us several times even though we finished 9 in 2hrs and 18 in 4hrs 2 minutes, with no one pushing behind us.

Staff is the friendliest and most welcoming in the entire valley. The golf course may be a "little" rough due to the summer heat, yet is still one of best layouts in the valley of " the sun". I am most fortunate to call this golf course my "Home" course!

Considering the location, smeltering AZ, the course and facility is excellently good for golf with staff and management most welcoming…as a Mesa resident, the playing deal was exceptional, thank you…can’t wait for winter!
