Dobson Ranch Golf Course is an enjoyable track suitable for all ages and abilities. The course has generous fairways and large greens. There is an abundance of forestry; not only are there trees lining the fairways but they are also situated throughout, making accuracy top priority. There are also water hazards and bunkers to look out for. Dobson Ranch Golf Course has a reputation for being immaculately kept and consistently being in excellent condition. On the premises there is also a convenient lighted driving range as well as other practice facilities. There is also a pro shop that carries a full line of discounted professional golf equipment.

Nice day at Dobson Ranch GC
Course has nice driving range, practice greens and generous fairways. Tee areas and fairways are in good shape. Greens can be sloped/tricky and were quite fast the day I was there; therefore, placement of approach to the greens was important. All in all it was a nice outing!
Great fun!
This place is happening! Teed off at twilight and got in 9 holes. My wife and I got paired with two local young gentlemen. The course was in grat shape and challenging. Every town needs a Dobson Ranch!
Course good but greens a little sparse. Staff very friendly and professional. Nice practice facility.
Dobson always delivers
I had not played Dobson Ranch in several years and I’ve recently played it a couple times. The course is in good shape, the price is fantastic and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. The greens are fabulous and very tough.
Challenging enough course but the quality will bring you back
This course is always maintained well. Greens were a little fast today but that could have been me. Outside of the great course condition, the amenities are second to none. Will definitely pay again and as often as possible
Course Management is Unprepared for Groups
Booked a recurring group of 24 here for twilight. Very disappointed in the preparation (or lack thereof) by management. Carts weren't available until you're just about ready to tee off. Beverage cart quits at 4:30, and not water on the course. You need to bring your won beverages, or stock up before you go out which we could have done if we knew before hand.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect carts and beverage service on a golf course for 6 groups. Beverage service in Arizona in the summer is a deal breaker.
This course does not accommodate groups well in comparison to other courses.
Embarrassing Establishment
Do not golf here! It's a trap.
The management of this course need to be fired! Just an utter trainwreck of a Golf Course.
Its LIV Golf meets Top Golf meets Cow Pasture.
I don't generally review places but this course deserves this one.
If management would focus as much time on maintaining the course as they do on trying to push there below-average swag they may have a chance at being something.
And for gods sake, put up a fence on the range. There are 4 holes that are completely littered with range balls. Just embarassing.

Thanks for sharing your experience at Dobson Ranch. Like all courses in the Phoenix area, the summer months bring a transition from the winter grass to the summer grass. We take a very proactive approach to minimizing this transition by increasing the watering schedule, applying fertalizer, and slicing thin spots to allow moisture to soak in more easily. Unfortunately this transition is unavoidable in golf in Arizona but I can assure you we do as much as we can to make it as smooth as possible. Dobson Ranch Golf Course
Staff was great, beverage cart, starter, and bar staff was all very nice!
I have played Dobson Ranch for many years, and I have to say that this facility has risen to a very high level. Conditions are challenging in the desert and I am very impressed with how the course looks and plays. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere on and off the course is at a new high in my book.

9th & 10th holes
Overall, the course was in good condition, the pace of play was normal for this time of the year, but beware of the 9th & 10th holes. These holes are right up against the range, and there is no net or divider. Even if you hit the middle of the fareway, you will have a hard (or impossible) time finding your ball. On the 9th, I had to finally give up and drop a new ball because of pace of play - there were hundreds of range balls on the 9th hole. The 10th hole was a little better, but again, my tee shot went down the middle of the fareway and it still took me several minutes to find it because it landed in a sea of range balls.

Range balls were littered on 10th hole. Difficult to find my balls which literally took about 5 minutes. A range barrier fence would be a best solution to keep the pace of play up to speed
Fun course—very fair.
The course is very dry for this time of year—and concerned for the summer months. Bunkers need attention.
The staff is the best group of people of all the courses I’ve played here in the valley in the past 10 years.

Really enjoyed round of golf at Dobson Ranch in West Mesa Arizona. A good golf track (couple holes where others hit back into your fairways) and good golf value.

We appreciate you sharing your review, and I would like to clarify a few points.
We had a misunderstanding of expectations as you hoped to have 12+ carts staged at once before your round, and since we don't stop play before your group we informed you we couldn't guarantee that. Together we reached an agreement that my staff would bring the carts to the first tee, well before each group was set to tee off so you could all putt and socialize and you agreed this would be acceptable.
In regards to the drink service, we have ice and water near the first tee to fill any reusable containers, as well as on the 5th green. We also have a food delivery service that is running all day, as indicated by our staff and signage in the carts. We will deliver your choice of food or drinks to you on course seamlessly.
We are always open to working with groups who have questions about what we can and can''t accommodate. We understand we may not be the right fit for your group, and we wish you the best.
