Dobson Ranch Golf Course

Had a midday tee time and was grouped with two other singles and went off exactly at our time. Started was super nice and kept everyone moving which was nice to see. We each had our own carts which was a bonus as some other courses have forced cart sharing. We moved pretty quickly through the first four holes and then things slowed down. By the seventh tee, a ranger came around to hurry up the groups in front of us and told us that we are good on pace, but the groups in front of us are behind and they are looking to hurry them up. Have not seen this much out here, so that was awesome. Pace picked up a bit on the back nine, but it was such a nice day, I did not really care. The course was in great shape with fun holes across the front and back nines. Bar looked solid with good outdoor seating options. All in all, great experience and I will be back again.

We didn’t have to wait at all during the game, and there is excellency food & service to you during play.

They are spending money on tee boxes - lots of re-sods. Greens OK but lots of crabgrass everywhere so chipping tough.

Had a great day on the course. It was in perfect condition and the greens rolled very true.

I've played here for 40 years. Love the people, the location, some of the new improvements and while the summer takes it toll on the course of which some could be avoidable, the biggest issue to me is the fact that the course maintenance always seems to be reactive when a proactive approach would be best for all involved. The majority of the course is inundated with crabgrass (including the fringes) which makes it nearly impossible to play the down as it should be. I'm not talking about nutsedge as that's an entirely different issue but the big firm clumps of crabgrass. This should be put on a PROACTIVE action plan to prevent what consistently happens every late spring and summer. There's no need for it.

Great muni. Pace of play, excellent. Greens were very good. Always a challenge to read them. Some bare spots in the fairway and a few to many weeds but very good for August

This course plays harder due to greens being difficult to make putts.

As usual the course was in good condition The staff is great. Been playing here for 25 years

Been playing golf for almost 50 years and this was the first time I was hit with an errant shot from another golfer.

The course has no way to prevent that, but it put a damper on what would have been a really great day.

I will still return to DR.
