Dobson Ranch Golf Course

At $70 to ride, it’s getting hard to justify playing there. Need to lower prices

Played a quick back 9 to start the morning. Course was well maintained, staff was friendly, no issues.

Had a 2:09 tee time for our group of 4 (riding). At 2:03 one of the course staff came rushing to the cart area, which is very close to the tee box on 1, saying we were late and needed to go now. I had asked for a scorecard since there were none available on the cart or in the scorecard box. I was told the starter would give me one....okay great. When we got to the box at 2:04, we were told to tee up and go immediately. I had asked for a scorecard and was told bluntly "i will give you one after you tee off.".....also no pencil, and when we asked, we were ignored....so no scores today.

We felt rushed and uncomfortable...oh well.

After getting going, there were groups in front of us hitting their slices out of our fairway on two holes, holding us up just a bit. But again, oh well. It's part of it.

Fast forward to hole 8, where we are teeing off at 3:29 where the ranger came up to us YELLING "What's going on?! You are seriously slow and need to get it going!"

I turned to look and saw the group behind us 1.5 holes behind us as they appeared to be beginners, hitting 50-100 yard shots (no slamming, just observing). So I was confused as we were not holding anyone up at all. My girlfriend had even stopped playing on 6 for a break.

We wrap up 9 which was littered with range balls, and see the slow group behind us zoom past towards 10 as they were apparently told by the ranger that they needed to go faster as well and to go ahead of us. That said, he told the 2-twosome pairings to go on either side of us, so we had a group of 2 ahead of our 4 and a group of 2 skipping to be behind us.

Apparently there was a tournament or some scheduled event that was set to start on 10 after the last group of public players was through 10 for the day. So rather than schedule accordingly to allow for proper spacing, they rushed the public players who paid to play a full 18 to finish early.

If 9 was littered with range balls, 10 was an entire dump. I would guess no less than 200 range balls were throughout the fairway on 10. So much so, we didn't even bother to try and find ours to play out the hole.

The remaining pace was horrendous to be stuck between two twosomes where one was playing 50 yards at a time and the other was waiting on us by the end of the group in front of us was done. Three groups on the same hole...Not great.

All in all, we wrapped at 6:18 but my girlfriend felt too much pressure and stopped playing entirely.

Everyone was confused and frustrated, but I hope everyone had fun in the tournament.

This course takes people who’ll walk in without a reservation and start them on 10th hole, causing major backups. 5 1/4 hour round especially during the week is ludicrous. This is the third time this has happened to me here. I’m totally done with this place. 3 strikes your out. Too many places within 15 minutes of here to play.

Quick play, super fast greens, don’t think I had a straight putt all day. Fun time.

First time playing DR in many years. Without a doubt one of the nicest municipal courses I have played. Great facility from the condition of the course to friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Compared to many courses in the area you spend a whole lot more money for them and do not get anything near the “top shelf” experience of Dobson Ranch.

Great inside and outside staff. Fun and upbeat attitudes. Always.

This was the first time that I could get a 4-some on the course without an arm & leg to pay for the green fees. MY opinion that this course should 'not' be charging over $65.00.

It's in pretty good shape, some areas needs to be re-seeded which I thought it should have been already completed. They raised their rates up during the winter season which is an out cry.

RECOMMENDED at your own opportunity. I would like to play this course again.

Was able to get a decent priced walking rate for time of year. Course looks good and greens were still looking good as well. Would recommend early am walking tee times.
