Championship at Incline Village Golf Resort

About
The Championship Course at Incline Village will challenge golfers of all levels, and leave even scratch golfers breathless with a slope rating that tops 140. Combining amazing scenery with demanding golf action, the Championship Course is high on the list of traveling golfers looking for the best from their High Sierra golf package.
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the course received a facelift in 2003, courtesy of golf course architect Kyle Phillips. The nearly $5 million renovation reinvigorated the course, which demands accuracy, as well as giving players risk-reward opportunities over trees and bunkers.
With two golf courses - the Championship and Mountain courses - Incline Village offers something for all level of golfer, and offers outstanding service and conditioning, as well as top-notch practice facilities, making it a highlight for a High Sierra golf vacation.

Great course!!
Great course!
Starter and Ranger were welcoming and helpful.
Windy and cold, but still had a nice round.
Perfect Day
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Will play again someday!
Good Course, Poor Management
Fun scenic course in very good shape. Terrible management. They try to nickel and dime you at every opportunity. $250/235 green fee but have to pay for range balls and hit off a mat. I was reminded several times that if I wanted my own cart it was $35 extra. Terrible pace, just under 5 hours, waiting on every shot. No staff at bag drop, cart kids pretend to clean clubs post round. With a new group running things it could be great, right now it is not worth it.
Very Pure course with challenging greens
Only complaint is you cant hit driver very often on this course otherwise J love you place very pure conditions and great fun to play
Great Course but over priced for non residents
It’s a great course but there are members and residents (FYI I’m a time share owner but don’t get any discount). I wanted to play full round and not a partial twilight round which is much less. I don’t feel all of the staff realize some golfers pay $200 mor for a tee time than others. I tried to get my golf club re-gripped the day before and Connor said it takes 2-3 days I told him I just paid $255 for a tee time is there anyway you can ask to see if it can be done and he said sorry we have a tournament and we are concentrated on taking care of them. Then when I checked in the next day the people working the front were not robotic like Connor and said if someone had asked him he would have re-gripped it for me. He offered to do it then but it was too late. Then during play we played our first 9 in just over two hours. I am very sensitive to pace of play and always look at the group behind. My playing partner was a better golfer but played from other tees and he is 86 and took som breaks and took his time. I do take multiple practice swings but I also pickup my ball if my hole isn’t going so well, and I hurry and I run from my cart to make sure things are moving. We did play an hour slower on the last 9. We got approached by the ranger on the 17th hole, and I got lectured by the ranger on my play and how I take too many practice swings. I was having a bad golf day but I still wanted to enjoy my $255 round. My playing partner who was a member had encouraged me not to rush and enjoy myself. The ranger could have alerted us a little sooner too. The group behind us had caught up to us on a couple holes but waited no longer than 3 minutes. I would tell my playing partner every time they caught up to us. I just didn’t like being yelled at by this guy when I was trying to speed my partner up and I knew we slowed things up a little. I felt my experience was dampered a little I feel like a second class citizen there compared to the residents and members when I pay so much more for the day. I like the course a lot but the employees seem to really only care about the regulars. They should just make the course private and not allow the public because they don’t treat outsiders the same. I’m sure the regulars complain about the public as well. I just didn’t like that I was trying to keep things faster and then I get yelled at the end of the round after playing my worst in a long time and paying $200 more than everyone around me. I do understand the role of the ranger to keep things faster, but he could have done it much sooner and with more tact. I did listen to him and I didn’t take anymore practice swings. I just wish the staff that playing a round there for that much $ is a special treat and maybe they play only once year and want to enjoy a nice golf course on vacation.
Great condition and firm & fast greens
Fun course to play. Lots of dogleg holes so be sure to figure out where to hit the ball. Greens were firm and fast and I feel like it would take more than a few rounds to figure out the breaks.
Excellent course!!
I highly recommend this wonderful course! The tee boxes, fairways and greens were excellent. The greens were fast and true just the way I like them. Staff was very friendly and considerate. Cheers!!
Excellent course with challenging layout
Fun playing this course with somewhat narrow fairways and elevation changes. Will play again.
Insane amount of cricket on course
The course is decent. However there are an insane amount of crickets on the course. One of my chip was deflected way off line by a fliying cricket, and several of my putts were affected by them.
It's also hard to focus on the tee boxes when there are imminent crickets launching ever several seconds
Great time to play
Played 6-14-24 and the course condition was excellent. Pace of play was okay. Staff friendliness was okay. Weather was great! Greens were extremely fast but rolled true.
Happy to play
I have wanted to play this course for 35 years. All my golfing buddies have played it, all said it was a beautiful course. They also all said it was over priced I agree with them. It's a beautiful course, and typical of Tahoe, Truckee courses, gorgeous well kept and expensive. The course was in good shape and only getting better. I got it for a very good price and I am very happy I played.
Beautiful Mountain Course
Great time. I got paired up with two gents who played same tees as me. We choose the split tiese option on score card for a 6300 yardage. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were great, rough was fair....GPS golf carts is always a plus....really enjoyed the layout. I found a golfnow hot rate discount..... All good..would play again...
What championship???
Get a grip somewhere else if you are a single! I play a course that has been hosting REAL Championships for decades and single can make advance tee times as a single golfer. But not this uppity course that has never hosted a REAL Championship. Over priced and hideous customer service for golfers who don't come in large or small groups. If you vacation in the region and want to play as a single golfer, I suggest the Carson Valley courses for values and South Lake Tahoe course for convenience if you stay in the southern portions of the lake. Just blow this place off....there is far better to be found with far more golfer friendly tee time terms and costs. Crimminy, Lakewood even permits advanced tee time for singles and has even more beautiful vistas than these pompus Incline courses!
Nice course
Very well maintained, and very friendly staff.
Golf pass Hotdeal was worth the value.
