Sunbird Golf Resort

About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Great for beginners
Staff were friendly, four of us played 18 for $88, hard to beat. Course was weathered and was in need of repairs. A lot of grass was being regrown/revived and a lot of cart path only holes. Back 9 is very easy, this course winds through a neighborhood so furthest tee back is only 110-130 yards from the hole, sometimes closer. Greens were horrendous, some fast, some very slow. Beginner course, only a couple water hazards and bunkers are few and far between. Pace of play was a problem. We were permitted to start early, but we had 2 groups of 2 playing against us. Why would these 2 groups not be teamed up as it’s customary at any course? We are quick golfers but this was an issue all day. Amenities were non-existent other than one restroom/water fountain well after the turn. Overall, a nice laid back course I’d recommend to any golfer wanting a laid back round.
Good value
Good condition for early June. Burmuta is still not fully growing yet so fairways are very thin and bare in many areas but the greens and tee boxes are very good. Overall a good value with a hot deal. Will play again soon.
Guy at the front gate is a tool
632 tee time. Held me at the front gate for 15 minutes till 6am in the dot (when they open) taking his joke of a job a little too seriously.
Good Value
Course I’m pretty good shape, some par 4s were cart path only. Staff very friendly and helpful.
