Sunbird Golf Resort

Okay this is a 4200 yard course, if you’re taking 3+ hours to play it, you have no idea what you’re doing and should stick to top golf. Sorry but, if I’m playing 21 holes here in an hour and 45 minutes it really bothers me when I start an hour behind a group of 3 and I catch up to them on 9.

I turned around and well all the way back to 3, played every hole 3-9 again, and boom, catch up to these jack offs in on 11. I think they were Literally replaying holes with someone behind them.

Buddy’s getting 10 feet off the tee box maybe just let the single handicap 6 play thru.

So, to the course owners, get a marshal.

We love playing at Sunbird. It was not busy so we could play at our own speed. We will be back.

Had a tee time at 7:52am, showed up at 7:45 and was greeted by an older man in an orange shirt and a lady. Originally the experience started off nice as they were kind and checked us in. We began our holes and all started off well, made it through our 9 holes under the required pace time and stopped for water (it’s Arizona) and a quick bite. After maybe 5 minutes we approached by the older gentleman in the orange shirt and he tells us that we have 5 minutes to continue moving it we will be kicked off due to “holding up the course” this took place around 9:45 and the course was nowhere near occupancy and there were no groups around us. On top of this he told us that we had been inconsiderate and showed up late among other things, all of which were incorrect. After this we decided to not play the back 9 and left promptly. The restaurant workers as well as the front desk lady were incredibly nice, however I hope that man’s day gets better and he is nicer to customers in the future.

Fun day and played a good round with friendly people. Pace of play was very good with no delays. The course is in very good condition.

Great course for getting back into the game. Only downside is the driving range and course layout is very short. In between normal and par 3 course.

We found this course by chance and we've enjoyed playing here often over the past two years. Their fees are reasonable considering how well are the fairgrounds kept. Most of all, the staff at the ProShop has always been very friendly and helpful. After a round, we enjoy having a bite at their restaurant which has good and tasty food.

WET from Monsoon rains previous evening. Some standing water meant pick and drop. Also needed to wipe mud off ball numerous times. This being said, course is very green and plays nicely. Greens a little slow BUT grass was enjoying the water and the sun! SUNBIRD is a FUN course to play!

Sunbird was in excellent condition considering its still August in AZ. Perfect course for senior golfer! Don't let the Party fool you. It's a challenging course with just enough water to get your attention. Staff is always helpful AND we like the restaurant. Excellent burger and fries with reasonable beer and drink prices.

Semi-private executive course was in great shape and greens were excellent. Checked in with friendly staff and loaded clubs into a clean peppy cart. Two regulars invited us to join them on first tee and provided appreciated course advice. Never waited on anyone ahead and nobody pressured us from behind. Nice lounge for after golf refreshments. Great day golfing.

Pretty good course overall, considering the price and pace. Condition is good especially now is summer time. Highly recommended for a quick round.

Sunbird Golf Club was in good shape. Greens were in very good condition and course was fun to play. Being an 18 handicap, some holes were challenging, while others allowed par opportunities. Would play the course again.

Always enjoy playing here. Staff is outstanding and they treat you like your a member of a country club. Even the groundskeepers will stop what they are doing to let you hit your shot. Course is in decent shape considering the summer we have had. Greens were outstanding, and tee boxes good as well.
