About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Sunbird Golf Club
Sunbird Golf Club was in good shape. Greens were in very good condition and course was fun to play. Being an 18 handicap, some holes were challenging, while others allowed par opportunities. Would play the course again.
Fun Course
Always enjoy playing here. Staff is outstanding and they treat you like your a member of a country club. Even the groundskeepers will stop what they are doing to let you hit your shot. Course is in decent shape considering the summer we have had. Greens were outstanding, and tee boxes good as well.
Give it a shot
Although this course is somewhat short, don’t that that dissuade you from giving it a shot. There are many challenging angles and risk/reward type shots. A great course for short iron development. The staff is very friendly and the clubhouse area is nice as well. We will continue to play for sure!

Take care of your greens and add sand to your bunkers
I love this course, but yesterday the greens were like Velcro. Looks like they’re watering the heck out of them but that’s about it. The bunkers look like gardens and is like hitting off loose gravel. Putting like you have to putt here won’t work on any other course and that’s what I don’t like. It’s a very short course so it should be a great place to improve your short game but you have to hit 10 foot putts at sunbird like a 60 foot putt anywhere else. Also, every tee box had a little bottle of sand, yet they were all empty. Kinda goes to show they’re being lazy and not out improving the course.
Played with some slow people yesterday and that was the first time this course has taken 4 hours for me. Not fun at that pace in this heat
My new favorite course
Yesterday was my third round at Sunbird in 10 days and let me tell you it just gets better and better.
The staff is out of this world friendly and helpful and this place provides amazing value for the money.
Shoutout to the Pro Shop staff, they really made me feel welcome and even refunded me for my wife’s spot when she was sick and unable to come.
Most other courses would just say “oh that’s too bad, enjoy!”.
Not these guys. I was more than fine paying for both spots since it was so last minute, but they took care of me big time.
Tee boxes are in good condition, as well as the fairways.
The layout is FUN. Like really fun.
The greens are in better condition than any other course I’ve played this summer, and I’ve played a lot.
I HIGHLY recommend you try this place out if you’re on the fence. Trust me, WELL worth it.
Pace of play
It was very slow yesterday. We stopped after 9 holes and I’m sure the foursome behind us still had to wait on every tee.
