About
The course at the Sunbird Golf Resort is a desert-style course that offers three sets of tee boxes to accommodate most skill levels. This executive length golf course has a country club-type atmosphere and offers a good round of golf. The greens are medium sized with some that are multi-tiered and narrow fairways. Bunkers and trees are also present on the course, adding some challenge since they can greatly affect shots. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. In addition to the executive course at Sunbird Golf Resort, the facility also offers a putting area and chipping green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Nice Course, Too Wet
We enjoy playing this course. Last time I played I told myself I'd wait a month to play again as the course was far too wet. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. We walked and that was a mistake as our carts, shoes, etc. were full of mud after just a few holes. The rye grass should be established by now so have no idea why it is getting watered so much, only one in the valley that I've played that's like this. We asked a groundskeeper what this is so and he said that's just what the head guys wants to do. Staff always great. We might try again next year.
Finally gottts(Har) 2play Sunbird !
Getting checked in went Well W/Christina warmly welcoming Me after several attempts 2gettts to Sunbird GC. The Gentleman that gave US(another 2some I played 9 holes with) instructions on the course was clear N friendly.
The course itself has a Nice layout W/a real variety of holes(for an Executive)including a par 5 that really needs 2B thoughtfully negotiated, water on BOTH SIDES of an approach shot. Greens rolled well, fairways have grown in lush & the sand INTHE bunkering is very acceptable. Tee boxes AND the range appeared Shaggy but overall I Enjoyed the day at Sunbird GC so THANKS Folks -B Well.

Great day, no waiting , greens are fast and course played well.
Nice day
Arrived to find out that we had a 20-25 minute delay.. Got out 15 minutes late, better than expected. Marshall on the course was working hard to keep golf carts at 90 degree angle but foursome ahead of us was constantly repeating their putts on every green! I finally mentioned that this was going on and he was indifferent to the comment. The course reseed is excellent and other than pace of place the greens and fairways were in fabulous shape. Would definitely play this corse again especially at this rate. Had a very enjoyable round and day.
Staff
They had run out of carts management and staff was very helpful of getting us a cart at our tee time really helped out a lot... Even though the course was full it only took 3 hours
A Little Soggy
Had a 10:30 tee time and got paired with a nice couple from Washington. I like the layout of this course, but we had to play clean and place as the entire course was pretty soggy. Your ball was covered in mud regardless of if you were in the fairway or the rough. Hopefully once the winter grass gets established they will cut back on the watering. I'll probably wait a month or two before playing here again.
Chandler az course
Good course, the grass was long and easy to lose a ball, I found three that other people lost due to the long grass.
Nice Mid-Executive
Love playing this course. Everything is in good shape, maybe a little wet in spots but that's expected after over seed. Pro Shop staff is outstanding. Played with a retired couple and their son. Very friendly folks who live in the community. I'll be back!
Wet and long rough
Terrible day of golf - very little parking ! The course was wet from over seeding I understand that but it was impossible to find your ball. The ranger came out and screamed at me because I was not on the cart path. This was after losing numerous balls and I was in the rough not the fairway. They should keep the course closed until it’s payable.
Great Mid-Executive
Course just opened after overseed, cart path only. We walked on a perfect day. Farirways and tee boxes in very good shape. Greens will need a few weeks, which is normal, but still very playable. We'll come back.
