About
The golf course at the San Marcos Golf Resort boasts an impressive list of past players that includes presidents and celebrities. The golf course is nestled on a property in downtown Chandler that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although it has a desert landscape, the course is still lush with a canal that runs through it, a lake, and plush Bermuda grass greens, the former two creating water hazards that come into play on several holes. The San Marcos Golf Resort course is challenging with each hole having at least three bunkers. The two most difficult holes on the golf course are two lengthy par 4s, the fourth and the 10th.

Best Shape Ever
Course is mint mint shape. Best greens we have played so far out of 9 courses. PLAY IT
San Marco First Time
Good course. Friendly staff. A little tricky around the greens. Bunkers kinda sucked, so just don’t go in them. Very little sand and very hard. Overall glad we played it. Decent price
Like this course
the course is in great shape , one of the few courses in the area that has full grown trees lining the fairways. Reminds me of the courses from back east. it's a pretty simple layout, as always keep the ball down the middle and you will do just fine. Good luck
Conditions are very good right now.
The course was in great shape. Fairways had two good cuts and the rough was as thick as I've seen in a long time which forced you to be accurate off the tee. The greens are in good shape. They were consistent and the focus was more about maintaining a consistent speed towards the hole, as the greens were not breaking as one would expect them too.
Bunkers are hard pan
This course has been in good shape since the remodel a few years ago and I've played here often. Now, unfortunately, the bunkers have reverted to hard pan like they were before. Just Roto tilling them might help but the course management just doesn't seem to care. I won't be back until conditions improve.

We had a foursome and didn't push anyone. Nobody on our tail. Great experience!
This course is in solid shape!
This course is coming off of overseed very well. Roughs were a little thick and I surprisingly list a few golf balls that should've been found. Overall I had a great time and would come back for sure.
Nice course
Course was very well maintained and both the layout and many water hazards offered some challenges. The only negatives were that the fairways are so close to each other and today was cart path only. But its a nice little course and I'll be back.
