About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

THE NEW TRES RIOS
BEST CONDITION SINCE I MOVED HERE 11 YRS AGO. GREAT JOB TIM AND COURSE SUPER.
Fairways and greens are looking really good. No carts on the fairways. Pace of play was great until last 4 holes. Very friendly staff.
As expected
Course was nice, staff was friendly. No carts on fairways after over-seefing, as expected. Will be back.
Great hot deal
Course was getting ready to winter seed so got lots of roll. Greens were nice. Quick round. Played 18 in about 2 1/2 hours.
Good condition
Hadn't played there for years and was surprised at how good condition the course is. My only complaint is that the flags are too small. Hard to see even with my range finder. Will play there again.
Great layout
I've played this course a few times over the last three years and it keeps getting better and better. Very friendly staff, some nice challenging holes. I love 9,10 and 18 especially. Unfortunately the pace sometimes is very slow due to snail moving groups. I overall recommend this for value and layout
Course in decent shape better than most in the summer
Alot of standing water brought out the mosquitos in full force!!
No on course drink or snack cart
Dont Judge a Book Only by its Reviews. This is a nice little gem.
Course is in as nice of shape as i have played it. Summer or fall.
Staff was so friendly. Concerned with my ability to play in the heat. Offered tips for staying cool. etra ice for the cooler.
Golf cart worked well. Course condition was very good for this location. I made a point to tell the staff how enjoyable it was to play today.
This isnt a top course in town, but it is a hidden gem that i hope stays hidden so I can golf it anytime I want. :-)
Great course for beginners
Great place to learn the game, that being said, expect the pace of play to be extremely slow as most beginners don't know about ready golf and 4 hour rounds, going just by what they see on TV. That being said tee boxes and fairways are about 3 stars this time of year but greens are a solid 4 - roll slow but true. Have paid more for worse greens. Any way, still quite a value for the buck.
Had a great time. Didn't like the fact that there was no beer cart made for a long day
Below average
I drove out expecting a nice course but it came up short. The course has a cool traditional layout and the greens were actually in good shape. The biggest problems were the lack of grass in areas where grass should exist and the driving range is pretty awful, not worth $5 for a small. I think I have played my first and last round here. Conditions are just too poor.
Great place to help grandkids.
Took son and two grandkids out to help them with there golf etiquette and there game. Great place to work on game.
quick greens
Nice staff, fairways and tees in great shape. Greens are very fast..... and not too many flat surfaces to put a pin
Budget Course Not bad
it is every bit of a "you get what you pay for" course. Attacked by a swarm of bees near the 15th hole, found a dead bird right off the green, pretty nasty so it has been there for awhile. I am not the greatest of golfers so i had a challange with the course but for the most part it was still enjoyable. Keep your head on swivel, because stray balls often find there way to you.
