About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Good, but no beer cart and it was HOT. Could've used some beer.
One of TR GC better days.
Weather was good, speed of play was good today. Last time I played here it took a little over 5 hours to play 18. Officials need to pay closer attention to 5 somes and 6 somes. We expect the golf course personnel to not allow such situations.
Great golf course in the estrella mountains. Good mixture of straightforward and challenging holes. Condition was fine, greens were fast and firm and in excellent conditions, but the fairways for the most part were fine, but a few needed some conditioning. Old school course with tree lined fairways and bunkers around blister greens, tilted strongly back to front. 1,9,10,18 have a little elevation change, but the rest of the course is flat.
Very slow pace
The pace of play was very slow. No Marshall and arrogant group 3 ahead of us backed everyone up. Added an hour to our game on a fairly easy course. No refreshment cart. Green fees are cheap enough, so I guess you get what you pay for.
May play again if I have nothing to do for the whole day. It might take that long.
Great for beginners and experienced players
The course was competitive enough for myself as a beginner yet provided enough challenges for the more experienced members of my group. We will play again.
Great views and great value
This was my second time around the course and it helped with some of the blind tee shots. I was a single and got paired with some nice folks from Canada. Overall great time outdoors.
Very slow going!
It is a good course and we enjoy playing there, but it started out slow right from the beginning. We didn't start until a half hour past our tee time. And it was slow all day. It took five hours to finish our round. There is no water on the course and no one selling any out there. We wanted to get a hot dog at the turn and the cafe was all ready closing and only had one bottle of water left. We would play there again but maybe go during the week instead of a Saturday afternoon.
Nice layout, I will come back again, no rest rooms along the course.
tr
Got us off early, pace was slow at first, then picked up
about 4:5 hours. No beverage cart on course.
Tres Rios
Well kept and friendly desert course. Staff very accommodating. A long drive for me but it was well worth the drive.
I have played the course before. Have enjoyed playing it. The staff is always very friendly. The course is well kept. The food is very good. It is always a pleasant experience when I play there.
Trees Rios value of the week
Best condition I have seen this course in the last 10 years. Staff seems energized which is a NICE change. Pace of play was a little slow 5 he's but the course was full and I was happy to see them busy.
Not a friendly coarse
The corse is very tight in the fairways . To much debris from the trees . The leafs are all over the coarse and shine with the sunlight makbig it hard to find your ball if you miss the fairways. Us like a lot of other people where confused where our next hole tee would be . The layout is very confusing . Only two restrooms one on each end of the courses was ridiculous . The golf shop bathroom smelled like raw sewage . Went to that restroom three times and each time it smelled so bad .
The staff was friendly but never saw any staff on the coarse checking up on us .
I will lot be going back to that coarse
Good course, pace was fair in good condition after recent rain
