Junior National Golf Club
About
Junior National Golf Club (formerly known as Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park and Estrella Mountain Golf Course) is rich with dense forestry including eucalyptus, mesquite, and pine trees as well as cottonwoods. The course has a parkland-style layout with rolling fairways lined with trees and undulating greens that are medium-sized and fast. To add more challenge to the golf course, water hazards and bunkers come into play on several holes. The par-4 seventh hole is considered the most difficult driving hole on the course. There are stately trees off the tee and the second shot is to a narrow sloping green. Junior National Golf Club features multiple tee boxes for a variety of different golfing options.

Great for beginners and experienced golfers
Pretty and scenic parkland style golf course. Crooked hitters and beginners can almost always play their next shot, unlike many of the desert target style courses.
Love this course
Played it many times.
It's 5 minutes from home so obviously I play it a lot. I'm a Canadian and own a house here. I come to Az. for the heat. It's off season for the locals so the place is wonderfully NOT busy. Bang for your golfing buck is awesome.
the course had a tournament going on on they were playing worst ball who does that going from one different hole to the other I mean come on who does
Never play again horrible overbooked course had tournament going on had to go from par 3 to par 7 to par 9 rate the way they run the course a zero
greens under repair
course in good condition. greens under yearly repair
Poorly laid out course
This course is alright if you want a quick play and don't care where you play.
Great course for the price
Fun course good condition fast greens but a very fun course
Good Experience
I haven't played here for a while. Nice improvement by removing the underbrush. The greens were a little disappointing, but overall we had a enjoyable day.
it is what it is.
Nice course. As easy or hard as you want to make it depending on the tee you choose to play. Course in good condition . Not perfect but not bad. Was disappointed at the pace of play. It could have been quicker if marshals were present to keep things moving.
nice course
The biggest problem I have with this course is the pin placement. Many of the pins are placed on severe slants on the greens, really uncalled for.
Dirt cheap golf
Very reasonable for a round with a cart and gps. Very slow play however as it attracts the beginner golfers.
Greens were in good shape though.
Course has improved
We golfed this course last fall a few times and it is in very noticeable better condition. The fairways are so much better then they have been in the past three years. We were impressed! The pace was a bit slow but we didn't know when we booked there was a tournament earlier, but we will be back!
Save your money
We were very disappointed in the condition of the course. My foursome has crossed Tres Rios off our list of course options.
Bumpy for a cart, fairly easy and open
The course was in decent shape and pretty wide open if you sliced or hooked one-ended up on another fairway but could play it. Greens were pretty fast, gotta play it now, not sure it will hold up in the summer.
everyone should try this course
well worth the drive beautiful scenery fast play challenging greens I will definitely be back again and again
Not bad
Tough riding on the cart with all the holes but in general a good golf experience.
This course is too bumpy
The course has gone downhill in the last 3 years...I wouldn't go back.
Tre Rios
Very slow pace. Started at 2:30, finished at 7:00 almost in the Dark. Send a Marshall to keep things moving.
Food not available to purchase at the turn, counter open, unmanned, no doggers or sandwiches.
Beverage cart last round when we were on hole #4, 3:15 ish???
Good bang for the buck
Great facility, great staff. We rented clubs which took our price up somewhat, but were pleased with the clubs and the price of golf itself was a great deal. I will be back
This course for most part had poor fairway conditions
The conditions of the fairways were poor. Overall conditions fair to poor. Felt the greens were better with all the play on the course. Played at a steady pace with a 4 some. Took just over 4 hours. The surface throughout the course was hard and hard to hold the greens. Greens had some undulation to them. Course was fairly easy to play and would recommend as a good warm up course. Staff friendly and service on course ok, but no hard liquor in clubhouse.
Tres Rios
OK course, pace of play was surprisingly slow for early morning. Greens were hard and fast, you could putt up the aprons. Fairways were good, off fairways got bad quickly, so stay on the fairways. Bunkers were hard dirt/sand, not friendly
