Stripe Show Golf Club
About
The golf course at Stripe Show Golf Club (previously known as Freedom Golf Course) is a walker-friendly and affordable venue for juniors, beginners and experienced golfers in search of a pleasant round. The executive length course has a risk-and-reward layout for an interesting game. This course may be short but there are several challenging elements. Situated on a terrain of rolling hills, golfers can expect uneven lies and elevation changes adding some interesting elements to the course. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course as well. Stripe Show Golf Club is well maintained with plenty of nice, shady areas.

Good value, fun course
The course is definitely a work in progress but has potential. The greens and tee boxes are in particularly rough shape, to the point where they’ve added turf mats on a couple of the tee boxes (it might just be easier to do that on every hole lol). Regardless, it’s a good spot to practice with your higher lofted clubs and has a pretty good range with cheap prices as well. If you’re looking for a place to get some practice in, you can’t go wrong with this course.
As advertised this course is a work in progress. Staff was very friendly. Would love fo come back next year and see the improvements!
Best course for beginner golfers
This course is my favorite place to come and work on my game without judgement or feeling rushed I love the staff super friendly and helpful
Great staff, fun course and has potential for more
The course is in bad shape. However, the owners are super friendly and told us they are in the process of remodeling it. We booked it for $12.99 online however, they only charged us $10 due to course conditions. They want to make it night course. Regardless, It has great potential to be a great par 3 course. Clean up the tee boxes, fairways and greens. They also get quite a bit of people rolling through. They provide walking carts. Pace of play is quick. They sell cool gear and have a grill on site. Honestly, I’d come back to play. The only issue I have is tee boxes are in bad shape and the greens are horrendous. But it’s a fun yet challenging course. Par 4s will make you shape the shot or lay up. Even with all that said, for the price of a large bucket of balls on normal courses, you get to play 9 holes on a fun par 3 course. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
New Management, Work in progress
The course is under new management, and working on restoring the course. A round is $10 and a cart rental is $2 if booked at the course. Took a little over an hour to walk 9, the pace of play was good. Perfect course to work on your short game, or for newer/younger golfers. Once they restore a few of the neglected greens it’ll be perfect. Also heard they may be working towards adding lights for night golf in the future. Which would be great in the AZ summers.
Great value for 9 holes
This was my first time here and for the price it was a great value. The staff was extremely friendly and it shows that the new owners are turning this course into a great 9 hole. The course is still not in the best condition but it was playable and you expect it for the price
Warm up and work on your short game
If you are looking for a quick way to warm up, go for a short walk and work on your short game, this is the place. Playing here really helps my short game. You can warm up on the driving range, then head out for your walk. There are some challenges with narrow, tree-lined fairways and water that comes into play on several holes. You might think you'll go for the green on each of the par 4, but the mature trees will bring you back to reality. Putting is a little bit of a challenge because the greens are in fair shape. If they are able to invest in the greens and tee boxes, this would easily shoot up to $30 and would be worth it. You can usually get through 9 holes in an hour and they have a discounted rate if you want to play another 9 holes. Great course for working on your short game in an hour.
Quick Round
Can't beat the price for a quick round after work. The course is under newer management and they are clearly working hard to improve it, so don't arrive with any lofty country club expectations. Friendly staff and quick pace of play. Simply enjoy the good deal while working on your short game. Great for beginners!
Great fun course
This is our third time playing this course and we loved every round. It is an “Iron only” course that has lots of variety and challenges along the way. It is a work in progress, but the huge overgrown trees will prove to be quite the benefit this summer for their shade. Great value for the money, and I plan to play at least once a week for the next several months!
Stare into my Crystal Ball
If you wanna see potential, with great ownership.....play here!
Still rough but on its way.
The grill is all Hit and no Miss
Very enjoyable layout
If you wanna support the growth of the game, spend money here
Decent iron course.
Ok... Disclaimer—Please do not go into this course thinking you are going to be playing a 5-star quality course. This course is old, under new (and extremely friendly) management, and is currently being REJUVENATED. Yes, there will be parts that have dirt, dead grass, etc.. but from years of neglect from prior owners, it takes time to get this place back to its old glory.
I have personally played this course several times, some times 2 times in the same day. It’s always enjoyable. A good iron course for sure. I have to say, for the price, this is a very decent course — if you can look passed the problem areas that are being rejuvenated. The good thing is the current owners are doing their best to bring this course back to life and each time I play it, it does get better.
Try this course, it’s worth the price and a cute little hidden gem. “She’s old, but has it where it counts”
Is great course foe juniors and seniors!
The course is in transition and with some improvements will be a real credit to the golfing community. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They made our golfing experience at Fiesta Lakes an enjoyable day.
Great bang for the buck
Such a fun little course with a lot of elevation changes. The greens are still slight sand in spots but are getting better all the time. Definitely still puttable. Have fun everytime I come here and the new owners seem to actually care about this hidden gem. I wish they had flood lights installed for some night golf in the summer. That would be next level.
