Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links
About
This beautiful facility is located on 270 pristine acres at the North end of the Grand Strand. Blessed with a unique topography and large mature trees, the course meanders down to the inter-coastal waterway with scenic vistas to distract you at every turn.
This 6900 yard Clyde Johnston design is owned and managed by the same group that developed the fabled Heather Glen links and the service you have grown to expect from this organization is evident the moment you drive up to the clubhouse. Give this course a try the next time you vist the Myrtle Beach area. You won't be disappointed!

Greens are terrible
This course needs to shut down a year and let the course recuperate.
Solid track
Course is fun giving you many options of club choice and you need to place safe on several holes. Fairways were in good condition on 6/24/25, however the greens had been punched a few weeks prior and were not in great shape. Was told this upon arrival, so that is why fees were $30. Overall great course.
Nature lovers dream!
First and foremost the green had been recently airiated 🤷🏻♂️ when we played, so they weren’t in the best of shape, though they were terrible either, and believe me I have played some terrible greens! Other than that the course was absolutely beautiful and in great shape. If you like a nice ride through nature while hitting a ball occasionally this is the course for you! I took almost as many pictures as I did swings! I saw multiple families of deer as well as a red tailed hawk that caught himself a nice lizard lunch, a ton of fox squirrels and a nice size king snake. The first hole, as well as many other holes stretch along the Intercoastal Waterway which provided a nice breeze throughout the day, which made the 92° summer sun feel more like mid 80s. This is a challenging course, especially 16,17 & 18 where you have to get ahold of your tee ball if you want to get over the marsh, luckily I didn’t sacrifice my Pro V1 to the pluff mud! I’ve okayed some nice courses….and some not so nice courses, and I would rank Glen Dornach among the best of them! I can’t wait to play it when the greens are ready! Just have to remember to bring some corn for the baby deer!! In closing if you want to play a tough course, and not worry about nailing a house or having some curmudgeon walk into the edge of the rough and steal your ball (happened to me today at another local course) and also take a nice ride through a beautiful park this is the course for you. The staff was great and treated me like they had known me for years!
course was in good shape except the greens needed work or new greens.
Waste area special
Great rate to to green aeration
Very pretty lay out, but somewhat gimmicky doe to forced layups due to environmental areas
Except for greens which were being aerated, the course was in great condition
Play a bit slow but tolerable
Very much enjoyed my day at Glen Dornach
Terrible condition
We arrived to play 18 but only played 9because the course was on terrible shape Greens had been air raided and had huge dead areas in them Putting was impossible it was hot but we knew the weather but didn’t know they had no beverage service on the course I think they should notify everyone that no beverage cart was available and the overall conditions It was only 30 bucks but not even worth that Wait till fall ! I have always enjoyed this course but was really disappointed!
Great layout
The course was challenging and required every club in the bag. The greens had recently been punched making putting difficult. I will return and play it again
Great Value
Great course with amazing views on the waterway, value was great because greens had been punched recently but was worth it. 18 hole usually cost $130 but was discount to $30. Worth it
Nice layout
Course was is good shape and has a nice layout with challenging holes. They do have some scenic holes with good views. I appreciated the staff calling us to let us know the greens were recently punched. The staff did drive around with coolers of water but need a beverage cart.
Nice layout - poor conditions
The course has a nice layout and some beautiful holes. However the tee boxes and greens were in very bad shape.
Glen Dornoch June 2025
Fun course, several holes required placement of shots which is different. Fairways were in good shape. Greens had been aerated a few weeks ago and were in bad shape, thus a !30 green fee with cart. Did not know it when booking online but overall a good course.
Course aerated so price was very fairly adjusted. Kudos to the pro there. Very rarely do you see that happen. Wonderful, enjoyable course. Pleasure to get to play again.
Glen Dornich
It happened to be a great deal because the greens were aerated. I enjoyed this course some nice holes overlooking the intracoastal
Fairways were very nice and some well placed obstacles such as marshes etc
