Sun City South Golf Course
About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Great time!
Great time! Good price great weather great conditions and under 4 hour round. Great total price of $30 per player.
excellent conditions
the course is in very good shape and should be played before it is winterized in October. we were given free range balls.
Awesome Time
Awesome course staff and facilities
Course challenging enough
Steady as she goes
This Club is very good at keeping this course well maintained and not allow it to deteriorate like some of the courses in the area. The greens are even and well groomed and the green's condition does not influence how the breaks read - the ball rolls exactly how it reads. While it is flat and not very many hazards are at play, playing the blue tees provided "the challenge" that keeps a course more exciting. For a leasurely game with a friend or friends, this course is steady as she goes. The coffee however is too watered down to call it coffee! Not good for a 6:30 am tee time!
Pleasantly Surprised
I have played a few courses in the Sun City/ Surprise area lately , my son in law is new to golf and I try to find courses that are cheap and wide open for him. The last few I played were in terrible shape, Hillcrest was unplayable, Great Eagle was worse than Hillcrest. This course was in Great Shape, the tee boxes were perfect nice and level, fairways and greens were very nice. The bunkers were not great but still very playable. I will be back for sure!!
2 hour round!
What a day!
Thank God zipped right around.
Please don't go play there you'll slow me down!
LOL
Go have fun.
My hidden fun course please dont come out and play

Sun City South Golf Course
Hello I'm Hawk, I'm a 12 Handicap. The Sun City South Golf Course from the parking lot to the Pro Shop was extremely clean, neat, and tidy. Although the Club House seemed a bit dated but clean none the less. I was greeted nicely by the Pro Shop attendant. He indicated to me that I could either play with a group that was scheduled to go out in a 15 minutes or wait and play as a single. I thought that selection or options I was given was exactly what I wanted to hear. I like options! Today I did not want to play with anyone. I just wanted to enjoy the North Phoenix sun while playing/hitting multiple golf balls from different angles. The mature trees around the golf course provides a lot of needed shade in this desert climate. Most Tee Boxes were shaded by the mature Trees. Summers can be challenging heat wise here in Phoenix. However, the mature tree's shade makes the round a little more bearable. Furthermore, the golf course fairways were manicured/cut nicely. NOTE: There were multiple fairways that had some burned out looking spots "sporadically" throughout the front nine and back nine. The ruff areas in the extreme outer borders of the golf course needed a little cutting back or pruning. The greens were in Pretty Good Shape. The greens could stand a little speeding up however, the greens were noticeable rolling true to the line you putt the golf ball on. Overall from the service rendered, great course conditions, cost, and play-ability of this golf course I will be back to play this course again.
Thin spots
Course was ok. Lots of think spots and bare ground. May get better this summer.
Sun City South Golf Course
I enjoy the course very much. It is close to my home and the staff is excellent. As a Golf Now VIP I can get some really good rates for play and now that the snow birds are going home, it is easier to get a T-time. I am looking forward to what the course offers this summer. I highly recommend this golf course
Great course for the money!
Nice people, straightforward open course, very good greens. All for $30. Great for a Wisconsin group playing their first round of the year.
Interesting
Look forward to playing it again, hope to score better second time around. Course was wet, cart path only.
Not enough carts
Booked Sun City South but ended up playing Sun City Quail Run. Ended up nice short course for the women.
