About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

We play this lay out many times a year greens were great only problem fair ways are wet and several very wet spots
Great golf but changing to where a player needs to use his $10 off 3 days or more out will be keeping me and 12 of my golf buddies from becoming VIP'
Great golf course ,bad decision to change the $10 rewards which now have to be used 3 days or more from selected golf date!

The course was in very good condition, wide enough fairways with above average roll to the greens, sand traps had good consistency. Pace of play was also pretty decent, course layout was fairly spread out but manageable. Thru GolfNow a very good value for this time of the year.....
Fun course
Had not played here in over a year and really enjoyed my round. The course is on the short side but still somewhat challenging. Only negative is that if you are off the overseeded fairways the dormant grass makes it difficult to hit your shot. Greens were very good. Highly recommend the course.
sun city standard
Greens in good shape. Wish courses in AZ would do at least 6-8 feet of immediate rough. Dormant Bermuda not fun to hit out of. 5-some in front of us made for a slow round. Wouldn't let us play through.
Oversold tee times
Course is good and greens are pretty challenging. Our only complaint would be that they had people teeing off both front and back with a cross over which delayed our tee time by 30 minutes. Starting after1:38 made it quite difficult to try to finish 18 holes before dark. Sometimes we were three groups on same hole, so lots of waiting between shots. Don’t know whether this is common but if this is the way things are done, perhaps there should be course marshalls to keep things moving along. Staff is super friendly and practice areas are really good. Enjoyed our round and managed to play all 18 holes.
Good value
The course was in great shape. Greens rolled true, pace of play was more than decent (just under 4 hrs.) and enough of a challenge for a bogey golfer that plays to 6000 yds.....
Average course
Slowest round of the year...lots of beginner golfers

Nice old course for this old duffer
This is a great course if you are an old duffer. Not a good course for low handicap golfers. Will play again with some good old boys.
greens
the course overall was in nice shape, the greens were in great shape and rolled very true. They were not super fast but very good.
Thin fairways
Course condition was overall average. Greens were in very good condition as well as sand traps. Fairways needed additional overseeding...a bit thin and patchy in several fairways. Very nice staff at course.

We enjoyed our round at this SunCity coarse. Played with nice people from the area. We will return.

greens were cut and rolled near normal speed. course in excellent shape.... the 5 some ahead of us was a bit slow but not real slow.... too many players for 5 somes....
