About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Wide Open with Nice Greens
Typical Sun City Rec Course that is wide open and easy to navigate for first-timers. Played from "rattlesnake" tees, about 6500, but played shorter due to hard fairways. Would go back at this price.

Fun course as always. Greens a bit firm but overall in good shape.
Tough to read with many undulations. You will have to play well to score well with the firmness of the greens. They are not real receptive to shots into and around the greens. Make for an interesting round. Enjoyed the day and for the price you can't beat it. Be thankful Sun City is allowing public play. Reasonable pricing and very nice conditions.
Slow play, no marshalls
I think that this was the second time we had to play behind a fivesome and because play was so slow, we couldn't finish the round. If this is going to be their policy, I doubt that we will play here again in spite of the special price we got.
The course is enjoyable to play
Enjoy playing Sun City South. Prices are more then reasonable!
The course was well maintained especially the greens. I enjoyed the course but check in was extremely slow.
Sun City South is an good course that was well maintained. The greens were in great shape and difficult to putt due to the undulations and sloping. The pace of play was a little slow but I enjoyed my round.
Wide areas are forgiving
Course is in really nice shape with nicely kept bunkers strategically placed and enought trees on eac side of fair way to make errant shots interesting. Has great practice areas for chipping putting and a range with reasonable priced bucket costs. This course gets an easy 9 out of 10 rating from me.
Played here before and will again.
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was a little slow and there were no rangers. Yardage markers were easy to see, but flagstick colors caused a little confusion. I would play here again.
Course in great shape!
The overseeding is really nice at this course. The rough has been cut and is very playable, the fairways are beautiful, and the greens are smooth and receptive. I was a little disappointed that there was no beverage cart on a busy Saturday.
Overall, the course was fun to play. I will certainly be back!
Stay in fairway, the roughs are deep.
I have played many courses in the sun city area and have found this course to be a little longer in yardage. The greens were in need of cutting.
Older, well maintained and just plain fun to play
The winter grass is coming in beautifully. The old trees line the fairway making center shots critical to your success. An enjoyable test of your game.
