Riverview Golf Course

Played as a 5some in 4 1/4 hours.
All aspects of the course in great condition.
Wide fairways are offset by undulating greens so overall somewhat challenging.
Good layout, particularly on front 9, compared to some of the other Sun City courses.
Very patient and friendly staff.
Great price on Golfnow.
Practice green by clubhouse is somewhat unrealistic.

This is the second time that we ran into problems with being over charged at the golf course. They charge you for a game of golf, add on the cost of a cart, then subtract $3.00 to get you down to the GolfNow price, and finally add in the tax.

I was charged one price while the other golfers in the group were charged another price. Interesting, this was the second time that this has happened.

While we enjoyed the course, it tends to put you in a bad mood starting off when you know that you are being over charged.

I like this course because of its wide forgiving fairways. You can spray it around a bit without much penalty. It is nice and green with slick greens. It is hard to find a course with greens that undulate as much as Riverview.

Still have some of the best greens in the valley and I am saddened they are closing the course and re-doing them. It won't be the same. Please play it before December 1st so you can remember really undulating, fair greens.

Great course! Very clean throughout, extremely patient and nice people working there. Only problem is that there is a need for a marshal for people playing two balls and extremely slow play w 5somes!
Other than that it is always a really nice experience at this course.

We had a 12:30 tee time, but they didn't have any carts. at 1230 they finally had carts for the 12:00 tee; at 12:45 they got another cart for just 2 of the golfers who had a 12:07 time. We asked to take pull carts and walk the front 9 then get carts at the turn. they were very happy we offered that, but you would have thought they would have offered at least a bucket of balls for the next time, since "it would really help us out"

Got to hole 11. There were 4 groups on it. One on the tee. One in the fairway 200 yard out. Another waiting to chip on. And finally a group on the green putting. Went to the clubhouse asking if we can get that fixed. He replied with the above line. Said to skip enough holes until it's open again. Not really a fix.

The surface of the greens was nice and smooth. They ran true, but the greens are so sloped side to side and front to back that there is almost no flat spot on any green to put the hole. Putts from above the hole, barely nudged would roll 10 feet past the hole. I have never seen greens like this. They need to re-contour almost all of the greens.

As always the staff was friendly - the tee time was spot on - the pace was perfect - always enjoy this course.

Looking for a great value this is the place! Greens are a little slow but for the cost the course was in great shape! Would totally do it again! Pace of play was VERY VERY good- Sometimes I worry about pace being its in Sun City.

First time playing this course and had a great time! Course was in pristine condition. The greens were nice and fast. Only one flat green on the course so you need some course knowledge to be able to have a chance on these big breaking greens. Overall had a great day. Plan on playing this course again real soon.

It was in prefect condition. Greens and tee pace of play under 4 hrs started at 8:00AM

Course is in really good condition. Greens were very fast. Some of the pin placements were on sides of hills and with the speedy greens, made it pretty difficult to score. Fairways were in perfect condition. Sand traps were more like dirt traps, not much sand in them. Got in one of them and used my putter to get out. Really enjoyed playing there though.

This has happened before, and I'm probably not playing this course again. When I presented the 'Golf Now' voucher, the pro shop rep said the price was wrong -- he "told you" that twilight rates were not in effect(not mentioned anywhere in ads).

He then charged me extra $$ saying it was the correct amount. I showed him the voucher, and he said it didn't include tax. My partner pointed out otherwise, and he still overcharged us.

Bye Bye Riverview ..... plenty of courses around.

Course in great shape.You will want to stay in the fairway with thick rough in the first cut. Grrens are running pretty smooth at about an eight or nine stint.

Typical sun city course. I enjoyed the good mix of holes and scoring opportunities every where you look. Mature trees and small sloping greens make sure it's still a good test. Well worth the price.

First time playing this course from the tips at approximately 6,400 yds and change. Wide open fairways, good size greens and the grass was great! From Tee to Green the course is in great shape. Some of the holes are challenging, cause of length, dog legs, water coming into play just before the green. You need to play this course with someone that knows the layout or play it a 2nd time. I'm anxious to play it again soon.

I've played this course several times. It's always a fun trip around the course.

Course in great shape for this time of the year. A little extra water in the fairways, but they are in great shape, greens put true and hold approach shots. Club house and food area were good as well. Will return.
