About
Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

Golfer Reviews
Very nice course
Wife and I played course because of price and length. Worth every penny.
Golf day
Unfortunately, the club house didn’t get their food delivered so they ran out of hamburger. Which wasn’t their fault. There was a group of four in front of us who were slowing everyone down. They even took time to feed the birds (they had bird seed with them!) on hole #11!!! So not only were they taking their time playing they took additional time to feed birds!! The Marshall finally came around and told them they need to hurry up. But that was on hole 15. So we were almost done.
Great Public Course
Can't beat this course for the price. In great condition and great for us amateurs.
Greens were a bit shaggy but it was a good day
The people I was to play with were late so the starter sent me out alone. He approved me playing two balls as there was a pretty slow group ahead of me, so I had a great day. The tee boxes and fairways were in good shape, pre-overseeding. The greens were slow and a bit shaggy but still playable. Great value and good prices in the lounge. The cart girl DID come by a few times...
Course looked good
Golfed on a Sunday after the big rainstorms came through and the bunkers had lots of water in them (to be expected) but also lots of sand. Tees, fairways and green were very good for this time of year. Greens were holding yet running kinda quick. Everyone was very pleasant, especially our good humored bartender. :) Pace of play was good - 4:15 for the round.
Great value
Course is very good for a city course. Has a good mix of holes. Greens are fairly fast and flat, with some subtle slopes (am
Ned some less subtle). Excellent value.
Nice Neighborhood Course.
Ken Mac is a fun course and they always make you feel welcomed.
Nice course, great value
Nice layout, fun course. Just prior to winter reseeding so it could have been greener, but overall the best deal in the valley. Plenty long, good greens, excellent pace of play.
