About
Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

Nice course
Everything was great the only complaint I have is we were coming off a great to go to next hole and the grounds keeper failed to stop mowing and we walked right into a big cloud of dust.
4 years
Haven't played here for years, overall course in good shape and some interesting holes which make it fun to play..greens a little bumpy and patchy and slow but acceptable for time of year. Will return
A surprisingly nice course!
I had never played the course, but it was 2 weeks away from re-seeding, so we tried it. I was pleasantly surprised by the course. It was not as flat as I expected and the conditions were much better than expected. It was very dry and fairways were a little ratty, but I expect they are not maintaining it pre-reseeding the way they normally would. I will go back post-re-seeding.
Course Being Prepped for Overseeding
Course was dry and being readied for overseeding. Tee boxes needed some TLC, as did the sand traps (lack of depth). Fairways were sparse and greens a bit uneven and slow. Pace was slow, but our foursome did finish within 4 hours. Value was good, given the conditions. Once autumn maintenance is complete, I am certain course will return to good playing form.
Good for the price
This course isn’t the most challenging layout, but the price is right. This track is well maintained compared to other courses at its price point. The greens are extremely slow, so be ready to re-calibrate your flat stick accordingly. I’ll play this course again.
Nice course
I've played this course many times, and it is consistently very nice.
