Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

POLICE were called over THREE beers
Would NOT recommend this course. I purchased 8 beers from the bar before whole one, had three leftover beers in my bag from a few rounds prior which the cart lady had seen. She proceeded to take those beers dump them out and then said she was kicking us off the course because we brought outside alcohol in. Mind you this is 5 holes in on a Sunday early afternoon at a below average golf course. The cart lady then sent out a 17 year old worker who threatened to “see us in the parking lot” “call some people” and more continuous threats. We were then kicked off hole 11 by the police after the cart girl continued to harass us about the beers through whole ten. We didn’t hold up pace of play, disrespectful, cussing, or any of the matter prior to being kicked off the course. Go golf somewhere you know and like vs somewhere they don’t even want you to play.

Kenny McDs is a great course! Close by, decently maintained, affordable, and the beer cart and bar service are always awesome.

Excellent Friendly Staff + Great Bang For Your Buck
Walked on in the late morning - staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The course is in great shape considering the recent weather. The cart paths tend to pool water after rain, but I had no trouble navigating the course. The course itself is pretty straightforward and novice friendly which I appreciated - the course layout is a bit odd in spots but not enough to get lost on. Overall, a great value and a great experience ; I would certainly come back again. They are doing a fine job at keeping the course playable as overseeding season approaches.
