Located in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the affordably priced Ken McDonald Golf Course is a championship-length course that is suitable for any level of golfer. The flat terrain of the course makes for an enjoyable stroll, while the water hazards that come into play on eight holes provide plenty of challenge. The water hazards are provided by the Western Canal, which flows directly through the golf course. The par-5 11th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards; it is very difficult to reach in two shots. In addition to the course, Ken McDonald Golf Course offers several other amenities including a restaurant, club fitting and repairs, and professional golf instruction.

Great course, especially for the money
Course is in great shape, weather was perfect, and the price can’t be beat. It plays pretty flat and back and forth, but still not without challenges and really in top shape right now.
3.5 hrs playing
2 o’clock tee time and even with a full course finished in 3.5 hours. Had a great round
Decent public course
This course needs another forward tee. 5700 yds is too long for players that should be playing the forward tees. The current red tee should be the senior tees.
Average public course. Parking lot is a LONG ways from the clubhouse.
Second time disappointment.
Recent two week vacation,, went back to play this course again. Great shape at the end of overseed. Starter delayed our start.(Group ahead we're hitting their SECOND shots on the second hole. Shift change with starters but they were more interested in discussing "last night". Paired us 2 elderly gentleman, so I knew it would be slow. First par three is fifth hole. On the fourth, ranger said we were 3 holes behind and we would have to let people play through. Fair enough, that is his job, but he didn't want to hear about those lazy -_#" that hurt everyone at the start. We actually decided to let TWO groups play through on # five. Fairly easy sailing through the rest of the round although he was always within eyesight. Listen, picking up slower players on a golf round is like playing in the wind and rain. You have to adjust your game. But the ranger handled the situation all wrong. Hope this gets back to him.
It’s a straight forward course but has all the amenities needed and is great value for money.
Great value!
The course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was very good (4 hours for 18 holes). Greens were in good shape but somewhat slow (maybe a 7 on the stimp meter)
I paid a very low amount ($36) for the round so it was a great value for a good course. It is not "Troon" quality but it is nice.
