About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Staff was excellent~I know it's wintertime still, but I think the greens need to be attended to. There is a lot of ball marks on them, I know that there is too many to fix, but the medium and larger ones should be fixed/filled in. We will be back soon, we like playing here, thanks for asking!

Tee boxes good~fairways good~greens have a lot of ball marks in them, I wish they would try to fix some of them~greens extremely fast~staff was great! Please fix the big holes just before the first bridge between holes 16-n-17.
West side story
Frozen greens made it tough to land on them. Great layout. Variety of holes make you think.

It was my first time playing the west course during the winter days. It was okay, some fairways pretty wet along each side (was expected) middle was good. The greens were pretty soft so the shoe imprints were there (was expected). They need to fix the big holes just before the first bridge from the 16th hole leading to the 17th. Customer service was good. I'll be back soon.

Great course for the money. Just hard enough to challenge the average golfer.
Challenging in a good way!
Best course in Carson Valley. Definitely most fun. Greens are fast. Not the best manicured but has beautiful natural features.

Conditions were very wet after the rains we had 5 days prior. No carts available at our scheduled tee time because of frost delay. I was disappointed because I had brought a friend to the course for his first time. Anyways, I like the course, I'll just have to schedule 7-10 days after it rains instead of 5.
Poor recovery
Several days after the rain storm, many areas on the course were still like a bog.
Some sand traps were like ponds. The course drainage is very slow. However, the greens were still wonderfully maintained. All in all still a good day out.
