West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

Westest Bestest
Great course for the money. Just hard enough to challenge the average golfer.
Challenging in a good way!
Best course in Carson Valley. Definitely most fun. Greens are fast. Not the best manicured but has beautiful natural features.
EVW
Conditions were very wet after the rains we had 5 days prior. No carts available at our scheduled tee time because of frost delay. I was disappointed because I had brought a friend to the course for his first time. Anyways, I like the course, I'll just have to schedule 7-10 days after it rains instead of 5.
Poor recovery
Several days after the rain storm, many areas on the course were still like a bog.
Some sand traps were like ponds. The course drainage is very slow. However, the greens were still wonderfully maintained. All in all still a good day out.
first time at E.V.W
Staff was great! Bathroom clean
Putting green nice!
Need a better chipping green, just okay!
Tee boxes need a little tending too, just okay
Fairways good for the most part
Greens very nice
West Course Was Challenging But Fun!
Played the West Course for the first time. Found it to be way more challenging than anticipated. Lots of tough carries over hazards, sagebrush on both sides of the fairways that eat balls. Course lay-out was somewhat confusing for a first-timer, but luckily we were paired with a gentleman who was familiar with the course.
Greens were in great shape, course had some bare and muddy spots but was in overall good condition. One star deduction because all sand traps were basically "mud" traps.
Excellent value for the money. Will definitely play again!
West course is more challenging than East course
Enjoyed playing the west course. It is definitely more challenging than the East course which I played last year. I’d recommend playing the west course! Liked the layout. Fairways were in good shape. Roughs were in average shape, but we should stay out of the roughs! I’d play the West course on my next year’s visit to Tahoe!
