West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

West Course Was Challenging But Fun!
Played the West Course for the first time. Found it to be way more challenging than anticipated. Lots of tough carries over hazards, sagebrush on both sides of the fairways that eat balls. Course lay-out was somewhat confusing for a first-timer, but luckily we were paired with a gentleman who was familiar with the course.
Greens were in great shape, course had some bare and muddy spots but was in overall good condition. One star deduction because all sand traps were basically "mud" traps.
Excellent value for the money. Will definitely play again!
West course is more challenging than East course
Enjoyed playing the west course. It is definitely more challenging than the East course which I played last year. I’d recommend playing the west course! Liked the layout. Fairways were in good shape. Roughs were in average shape, but we should stay out of the roughs! I’d play the West course on my next year’s visit to Tahoe!
West is Best
Have played the east a couple times now, but prefer the west course. More challenging, makes you think about club selection. The cart paths need sum improvement as do the sand traps, but for the money West is the best course around.
West is best
Have played both courses now, west twice in a week. Course is in good shape. Big greens that are well kept. Fairways play well with just enough trouble on east hole to make you think about your next shot. East is very forgiving while west is more challenging. Fast play.
Eagle West
First time on Eagle Valley West having played Eagle Valley east last week. This course has a great layout and much more legit than the east course. A few blind shots were a guessing game not having played here before. Definitely will play this course again. Unless you are in great shape, take a cart. East is very walkable, the west not so much. Rate of play was great.
Best bang for your buck course
The hot deals for this course are without a doubt the best value in the northern Nevada area. Good fairways and well kept consistent greens are for sure the highlight of the course. There are a couple of tee boxes that need a little love, but it doesn’t effect your play at all. It’s no red hawk, lakeridge or wolfun, but at a fraction of the price it’s well worth the visit.
Greens are excellent
Only thing I saw was the sand traps were overwatered and super firm, almost rock hard, then some were super muddy. All in All a great course to play. The greens were fast, very well maintained
We will be back
The west course was very nice. I only have one suggestion. Please mark the yardage with colored post.
Great day for golf!
Course was in great shape, had a nice day playing golf today. Nice weather great staff, will be back!
later
Great fun once you get started
We were told to wait because too many people in front us.
We went out 1/2 hour early to see for ourselves and there wasn't anyone playing.
We teed off and didn't see anyone until the 13th hole!!!
Just right
Well kept course with interesting greens. The only negative criticism is No Sand in the sand traps. Other than that, lovely views!
Fun course
My only complaint is and I can’t believe I’m saying this but the greens are to fast. With the wind and the slope some of the greens I feel are too penal if you get the ball above the hole. Other than that even with the wind it was a great day on the course.
If you haven’t played here yet give it a go!
