Played years ago
Course is in okayyyyyyy shape considering years ago flooding . My family played it many years ago.
Empire Ranch Golf course
Empire ranch offers 18 fun holes of golf, greens can be fast in the morning or slow. They've been pretty consistent this year compared to last 2 years, the 2 par 5s on the front are very reachable from the tips. When it is windy not so much, but the course is playing great. Not too busy on the weekends you should expect to finish in 3h 20minutes in the morning and after 10am 4 hour rounds depending on the groups around you. They are resending 3 holes on the back, these holes are marked not to drive on. Remember the 90° rule, drive straight across the fairway not up and down. Driving on the 2nd cut is allowed on holes that aren't closed for reseeding. 4.25/5 stars.
Improving
Been playing this course somewhat often over the last few months due to the value. It is good to see that a lot of effort is being put in to re-hab the course and get it in better shape. The fairways that were dead have been re-seeded and starting to grow back - especially on the back 9. Bunkers still need some attention - but overall seeing positive improvement every time we have come to play.
Fun Course
As a low intermediate player, I am enjoying Empire Ranch. It is quite lovely and in decent shape. Good value.
Ok for the price
Greens are overall pretty nice as are some fairways and most of the rough. Some fairways are almost unplayable in many areas so to make it more enjoyable we moved our tee shots to the closest grass area for the approach shot.
Excellent course!!! Super friendly staff, wider fairways, easy getting in. Highly recommend!!!
Five stars! A great course with an amazing value!!!!
A surprise
I had heard negative things about this course but found it to be in decent shape and the price was excellent. It is well-marked and the fairways are in pretty good shape.
Very good greens
Although a lot of the fairways are being reseeded and marsh like conditions in the fairways persist, the greens are in great shape. Worth a day out.
Lots of Potential
Lot of water damage from flooding, could be a gem, but needs some TLC
Under Const
Lot of roped off fairways, dried up water crossing fairways and muddy conditions. Pretty rough shape. Some holes were great, most were marginal and a few were poor.
They are doing a lot of work but it needs so much work,it will take months!
Goat track
Beat to crud. Half of the course was under repair, same as two years ago when I played here last. Great fairway shots would stop in the loose dirt that the fairways were composed of.
Terrible
The course was in the worst shape I have ever seen it in. The fairways were basically nonexistent. Not entirely sure you can call this a golf course in the state it is in.
