About
Located justhalf-hour drive from both Lake Tahoe and Reno, Sunridge Golf Club features monster holes and mammoth lakes. The 669-yards par 5 11th - the longest hole in the scenic High Sierras region and then some - draws your attention as soon as you look at the scorecard. But the 26 acres of water on the golf course will probably provide more challenge and thrills.
There's also a hole with a 300-foot drop from the tee to the fairway (No. 14), a tiny par 3 19th bet-decider hole and a ton of driveable par 4s that almost beg for you to go for it. As a bonus, Sunridge Golf Club's green fees wow many vacationers used to Tahoe pricing.

Golfer Reviews
Course is in terrible condition
The condition of this course was terrible. Dandelions and weeds everywhere. Fairways are mostly closely mowed weeds. Most bunkers are flagged as "ground under repair" as they were overgrown with weeds and full of water. Greens had some strange black stuff (fungus?) on them. Greens were bumpy and several had large burned out areas on them. Even at $45, I was disappointed in the condition of the course and would not play here again.
Water did me dirty
Watch out for the water. Accuracy off the tee is a must, and even for a lot of second shots. This course can tear you apart for 9 and then reward you for 9. Really great play. When Tahoe is busy this course is wide open. Wind could be a butt kicker. Some very unique holes with lots of elevation change, for instance hitting a 9-iron 220 yards on hole 17 and hole 14's three fairways with a massive elevation drop. hole 4 has you carrying over water. Great course
First 13 holes average, last 5 holes awesome.
Great value for quality of course. Last five holes especially #14 fun to play and challenging. And 19th hole for tie breakers, etc.
some nice holes on this course, some long, some elevated tees. needs a lot of work doing to tidy it up, but they dont seem to get too many players (mostly retired in tis area - seniors dont like the length)
Lots of water features
Caught a hot deal here ($14!!!) and was impressed. Hard to play the first time through as there were some severe downhill shots that were difficult to determine distance. 19th hole is a real thing here, short par 3. Wind is always an issue. Greens were slow, but rolled OK. Interesting design. Will come back.
Awesome
It was good condition, little bit of everything. All was great. The clubhouse not as elaborate as some but had all I needed and cheap snack bar...
Once a slow twosome let us through at the 6th hole, we had no unusual waiting time. Sand traps are still mostly granular or under repair. The rest of the course is improved from years past.
Great value and fantastic veiws
Course has improved greatly as they have gotten the fairways cleared of dandelions. The course presents a good challenge with lots of water and some fantastic elevation changes. Over all a very fun course to play you will have to give some distance for accuracy but well worth the effort.
This golf course is challenging.
We enjoyed our time at Sunridge. The staff is friendly. Although a challenging course, it is quite fun. We loved the diverse holes. All in all, a pleasant experience.
Ton o fun
This is a challenging beautiful course enjoyed very much
dandelions
ok this is the second time I played the course got to finish this time the first time I was with a friend whose wife called every 15 minutes to see when he was going to be back home to take care of the dogs.
this time the 14 th. hole was open. this course is a diamond in the rough. the down side is all the dandelions I would suggest that management give a discount of 10 dollars if the players bring a sack of weed and feed good carts and a challenging lay out
Don't waste your time or money
Dandelions 6 inches high covering every fairway. Mickey Mouse Layout. Pulled off after 9 holes. Payed $29 bucks. Not worth .29 cents. Lady manager was nice though and said I could play 27 holes for price of 18. I chose to leave after 9 holes instead. It was that horrible!!
Lots of potential not very well maintained
This course is interesting because the front 9 was relatively flat with a nice mix of rolling hills and lots of water hazards which makes it challenging. The back nine was a lot of fun elevated tee shots, lots of hills and really nice views. The fairways and greens were not very well maintained. There's lots of overgrown vegetation and 3-4 inch tall dandelions in the fairways and the rough, making it difficult to see your ball. Also the water hazards were disgusting, algae and murky waters, look like a breeding ground for insects. Overall the pace of play was good, the staff was friendly and we had a good time at a good price.
Do It !
I Love this course. You can't beat the views, beautifully laid out course, challenging. If you see a deal here, TAKE IT ! You can't rent a cart at most places for $15 !
Great course for the money
I got a Hot Deal special and it was well worth it. Got windy on the back 9 and made the course a lot more challenging. Bunkers needed work and lots of water, bring an extra sleeve of balls.
