East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Eagle Valley Fire
The course was fairly flat , not a lot of elevation change , moderate amount of hazards on the course . The most exciting about the round that day was that building next to the course caught fire and since the course is surrounded by sagebrush the fire started towards the golf course . I was playing behind two women who stopped and watched the fire moving towards us , they finally realized it might be a good idea to keep playing and move away from the fire . A staff member came out and told us if the fire was not contained to play the last two holes on the front nine . Luckily the fire was contained by the time we got to the 17th hole . The two women in front of me played the last two holes on the front nine even though the fire had been stopped .
Ego Builder Course
Wide open, mostly flat course with few surprises, this course, as the pro shop advised, is an ego builder. Course is in great shape, greens pretty good, sand traps only fair, pace of play can be slow because of heavy use.
Great Conditioned Course
Played course previously. This is the best I have seen it. Sand traps have more rocks than sand, but only had to deal with one. Greens are great, #16 had some damage, but not extreme. Ruff is a little challenging but it is called ruff for a reason. Got caught behind a walking 3 some, but they were keeping up with 4 some in front, so just waited patiently. Good day over all.
Fun Course
Its a fun course in good shape, the bunkers are maintained well. The maintenance workers are courteous as well. Overall I had a great time. I do enjoy getting the price breaks through Golfnow.com since I'm retired and on a limited budget. I'm sixty two years old and have a 4 handicap so I appreciate playing as much as possible. Thank you.
Unorganized tee times
I had a group playing in front of me that didn't appear to be in front of me from the start, they took an excess of 20 mins on each hole. A walk on was playing behind me without a cart and was pushing the pace, later I realized he hadn't even paid to play. Course could use a deligent Golf Marshall.
Good day
Got to tee off a little early, was a warm day and overall course in good shape. Greens were some what slow though, not sure why.
Bombers delight
Course is easy and few obstructions. Being new, the course is flat and we had to determine where the green is. On the tee box, you can see other greens and had to trust the tee bos markings. Great course for care free golfing.
Wide and windy
The fairways and surrounding areas are wide and forgiving, The wind, which apparently blows most of the time, does effect most shots, so it adds another element to this otherwise easy course. The greens were very true and a bit faster than you would expect. The bunkers, however, forget it...hard packed and gravel. A great warm up course if you plan to play more courses in the area or if you have trouble hitting it straight.
My review
Course was as expected older mini wide open and inexpensive
Great, open course.
Course is in excellent condition for this late in the season. Good value for the money and players keep the pace moving.
Wide adjoining fairways
This a great course for entry level golfers. Wide adjoining fairways cut down on penalty strokes. To test your prowess try the West course and that will bring your ego back to reality.
The 50 Club is a great value for folks who golf a couple times a week.
Good course for the novice golfer
We are new to the game of golf, probably greener than the grass we play on! We play this course because the terrain is flat and wide open.
The East Course is a great confidence builder.
Eagle Valley East is a great course to sort out your game. Only a couple of places where you might need to grab another ball out of your bag.
Actually fun to play. Slope rating looks fairly easy, but you still need to get on the green in (near) regulation and make a putt. Disappointing to score poorly.
Driving range is OK. Carts are due for replacement.
Nice course, fun to play
Even though I'm pretty much a straight shooter I liked the courses nice open fairways. The tall grass roughs make it easy to lose balls so be warned. Good value, I'll be going back.
Love the cource conditions. Best value for the price!
I must say it was worth the drive from Spanish Springs to play this cource. I loved the open space of the east cource. The staff was very helpfull to my party as we had never played the cource before. I"m looking forward to playing the west cource next week. I have to say that My party was very impressed with the service , cource and the condition of the cource.
And the wind did not blow
The East course is a nice 'feel good' challenge for an old-timer like me!!! Went home feeling 10 years younger
Good practice course for ease of play
This course was, as usual, well maintained. It is a relatively easy course with not too much trouble.
Nice course
course is in good condition. Nice layout, good clubhouse, friendly people. We enjoyed our round. Good value for money too!
Good food and friendly people.
Great course for a beginning golfer and children learning the game. Easy to play. Fast play. Excellent lunch menu.
Nice, open course.
This was our second time playing the East course. Its a nice, big , open layout. Great for beginners trying to build experience. Good value.
