East at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The East Course is one of two championship courses at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Although it is less challenging than the West Course, it offers the same quality and entertainment. Golfers who aren't ready to take on the West will feel comfortable on the East. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra in the heart of the Silver Country, the golf course offers scenic views that complement the rustic setting. The layout is wide open, making it ideal for beginning to intermediate players. There are some long holes and a few bunkers but it is a forgiving course that is great for a casual round.

Pleasant Surprise
Booked only 2 days prior, but got an early time easily and price was lower than advertised.
Staff could have been friendlier. Bar staff open and cheerful. Course in super shape, well maintained. Good for high handicappers.
Wide Open
Great course for high handicappers or for people who want to bomb balls without having to worry about losing them. Wide open course with lots of space. The greens were in fantastic shape for mid-March.
Great shape
Course in great shape, little slow but played thru one slow group.
Eagle Valley East
The new management is great. As far as course goes. If your struggling with your confidence at all play the East course it will pump u up. Though bring sun screen.
Wide open fairways
Only1 of the greens had slight damage, the fairways were wide, only a little water, not much shade. It was enjoyable?
Good Municipal Course
Course was in good condition with very challenging greens - fast and difficult to read. Bunkers need sand but it was a great deal.
Great place to golf
Love this course, wide open & beginner friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere & easy going staff. Also hitting off grass on the driving range
Good basic golf
The east course at Eagle Valley is probably the easiest course in all of northern Nevada, but sometimes that is just what you need to work the kinks out of your golf swing after a long winter. Generally flat, not very long, with big flat greens and very little trouble. A great course for beginners and higher handicappers. I played on Wednesday May 3 shortly after noon with a great Golfnow deal of only $25. The course was very busy and play was slow, so I just slowed down my pace and enjoyed the afternoon. The fairways had some rough patches which is to be expected after a record breaking winter, but hey, a few dandelions here and there add a little color to the experience. The greens were in much better condition. They were pretty hard by mid afternoon, but they rolled smooth and true.
Golf isn't always about high dollar championship layouts with million dollar clubhouses and perfectly manicured fairways. To be honest, sometimes they are just too expensive and intimidating to really be enjoyed. If you want to relax and really get back to the roots of the game, I recommend Eagle Valley East. Take the kids. Take your wife. Take your dad. Just don't take yourself too seriously, and have a great time.
Great Deal for Spring Time Golf
This course is probably in one of the best conditions in the Carson Valley area especially since the amount of rain and snow they have had in the recent past few months. For the money, it is probably also one of the better deals in the area. Will recommend to others and also play here again soon.
Pretty Simple
First time on the east course, very back and fourth golf w/ few hazards. Conditions were excellent, finished in 3.5 hrs for a foursome (on a Sunday!!!!) was great. Wind really picks up in the afternoon and you can have the course to yourself.
Played 2nd round in the afternoon on the west course. Way more difficult a course, much nicer. The wind made it extremely tough to play though.
Eagle Valley Fire
The course was fairly flat , not a lot of elevation change , moderate amount of hazards on the course . The most exciting about the round that day was that building next to the course caught fire and since the course is surrounded by sagebrush the fire started towards the golf course . I was playing behind two women who stopped and watched the fire moving towards us , they finally realized it might be a good idea to keep playing and move away from the fire . A staff member came out and told us if the fire was not contained to play the last two holes on the front nine . Luckily the fire was contained by the time we got to the 17th hole . The two women in front of me played the last two holes on the front nine even though the fire had been stopped .
Ego Builder Course
Wide open, mostly flat course with few surprises, this course, as the pro shop advised, is an ego builder. Course is in great shape, greens pretty good, sand traps only fair, pace of play can be slow because of heavy use.
Great Conditioned Course
Played course previously. This is the best I have seen it. Sand traps have more rocks than sand, but only had to deal with one. Greens are great, #16 had some damage, but not extreme. Ruff is a little challenging but it is called ruff for a reason. Got caught behind a walking 3 some, but they were keeping up with 4 some in front, so just waited patiently. Good day over all.
Fun Course
Its a fun course in good shape, the bunkers are maintained well. The maintenance workers are courteous as well. Overall I had a great time. I do enjoy getting the price breaks through Golfnow.com since I'm retired and on a limited budget. I'm sixty two years old and have a 4 handicap so I appreciate playing as much as possible. Thank you.
Unorganized tee times
I had a group playing in front of me that didn't appear to be in front of me from the start, they took an excess of 20 mins on each hole. A walk on was playing behind me without a cart and was pushing the pace, later I realized he hadn't even paid to play. Course could use a deligent Golf Marshall.
Good day
Got to tee off a little early, was a warm day and overall course in good shape. Greens were some what slow though, not sure why.
Bombers delight
Course is easy and few obstructions. Being new, the course is flat and we had to determine where the green is. On the tee box, you can see other greens and had to trust the tee bos markings. Great course for care free golfing.
Wide and windy
The fairways and surrounding areas are wide and forgiving, The wind, which apparently blows most of the time, does effect most shots, so it adds another element to this otherwise easy course. The greens were very true and a bit faster than you would expect. The bunkers, however, forget it...hard packed and gravel. A great warm up course if you plan to play more courses in the area or if you have trouble hitting it straight.
