About
The Long Bay Club boasts a Jack Nicklaus Signature design that is consistently ranked as one of the top golf courses in South Carolina, a major accomplishment when you're competing with golf destinations such as Hilton Head and Kiawah Island. The landscape showcases the beauty of the Lowcountry with forests of pines, dogwoods, and maple trees divided by clear blue streams. The golf course design closely mimics the natural contours of the terrain but there are also countless large, man-made mounds that were seamlessly sculpted into the surroundings. It is considered one of the toughest golf courses on the Grand Strand. Golfers will face numerous bunkers that are seemingly bottomless as well as vast waste areas. The signature hole is the par-4 10th, which features a u-shaped waste area that completely surrounds the fairway and then crosses in front of the elevated, contoured green.

Nice Course for Advanced Golfers
This course is extremely long and challenging for duffers.
Yough on Old-timers
This vis a beautiful, well laid- out course, lots of sand and water. Too difficult for someone of my limited abilities.
Something Special
The course is a fun layout and will challenge you on every hole. If you wander off the fairway prepare for at least a bogey! But, the thing that makes this place special are the people. I have never, ever been made to feel so welcome at a public golf course I was not a member off. From the guy taking my clubs, to the starter, to the clubhouse attendant to the ladies in the grill everyone said “hello, thanks for visiting us today!” Every time the course attendant drove by he asked if everything was ok and were we having a good time. I wish all public courses treated visitors this way. I’m coming back in November with a group of 24 guys and we will be looking for this great welcome again. I highly recommend this course and want to thank the staff and management for the job they did today. You are my new Myrtle Beach favorite!
Top Class Experience
Great Customer Service , super friendly and hospitable Proshop ambassador. Great deal on kids under 16 (free) and rental clubs quality for out of town visitors wanting to play. Great merch and deals in the Pro Shop . The course has a nice level of difficulty, and interesting rough areas. This course and the friendliness was the highlight on our trip to SC. Thank you for the great experience
Wanted to love this course
This was our last day of play after a week of playing various courses. Azalea Sands, Meadowlands, River view and Tide Water. We did have a lot of heavy storms earlier in the week. But this course was still soaked on most of the turf. the bunkers were mostly filled with water some was green so the water issues have been here longer than the week we were there. You could see how the sand was disintigrated away from the sides so that has been awhile. The staff were all very friendly. The course was challenging but much more so because of how soaked it was. We wanted to love the course but it definitely needs some work on managing the water and overall maintenance. I just wouldn't recommend it at this time or call to really check out course conditions before you go.

Pretty Good Course
The course was fun and decently challenging. The fairways and rough were in great shape, but the bunkers and greens were not. The only thing consistent about the greens is how slow they were. The bunkers were either all dirt and mud or hard as a rock. Overall, I would recommend it.
Good Course for the money
Good course, Friendly staff. No cart beverage service during our round. Took about 4 hours or so to play 18. Bunkers were generally unplayable - only 1 or 2 could be played out of. The rest of them were full of mud and had not been worked in quite a while. The fairways, rough, and greens were in good shape. Only one green had some issues. Course layout was fairly straight forward - no tricks or misdirection. I would play again for the value but would try to get a good deal.

Tee time.
Really good experience. Course was kind of hard to find using google maps, so I was cutting arrival and my tee time close. Staff was very understanding with my late arrival and got me right out on the course.
Course doesn’t allow singles. So if you don’t like to play with others just a heads up.
Fun course to play overall.
Great course, good Landing area for drive, Great challenge around the Green but overall, fun course to play, i recommend
Nice layout, greens were rough
Top dressing on the greens was a disappointment. Overall the course was good but the greens were like putting on sand. That should always be disclosed before booking. Very nice staff.
