Golfer Reviews
course was in good shape, but 5.5 hr round
if you have the desire and time to sit around and chat w/ playing partners, great course. If time is an issue I would reconsider.
Fun course, in good shape.
Great course to keep all your shots in good trim. Shorter, with lots of par 3's, but has nice longer par 4s and Par 5s that need to be managed well. Good bunker placement keeps you sharp, and the grass in the roughs will encourage you to satay out of it!
Breezy routing gives practice dealing with wind.
Took some Scottish visitors here, and they found it interesting and challenging. Fun and well-run.
nicely maintained course with creative challenges
Matt was extremely helpful and courteous...great resource to have at the pro shop...the person behind the food counter extremely polite and food was good. Our group had a good time and highly recommend.
Great Course, Great Pace
As a beginner, this was a challenging course. Fairways were in nice condition as well as the Greens. Easy course to lose balls if you don't have your shot fine tuned LOL. Overall, a great experience. The scenery, wildlife and course blend together for a wonderful setting. Would definitely consider returning. Also, got a free bucket of balls for the range since it was my first time at this course!
Good for all levels of player
I like this course because it is challenging and with exception of the ruff rough good for beginners also.
Entertaining course for a great price
I've always thought that if Batman's Gotham City had a golf course, it would be Los Lagos. The green rolling hills, lakes, and forests seem to come right out of the vibrant world of a comic book. And the course is very fun to play without being exceptionally difficult. It's perfect to learn on or to take parents or grandparents who may not have the distance for a full-length course and have a good time. Los Lagos has tremendous value for a low price and it is always very well maintained. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see the kind of high quality municipal golf course that San Jose can provide.
pretty decent greens
well I play here from time to time and not bad course but it needs to maybe not have so much par 3's a bit to many in my eyes .. But I like the course..7/02/13
A Good Course for walking if a small change was made.
This course has a nice layout and the small red fox that visits is a nice touch but keep an eye on your lunch.
The fact that you need to travel over a bridge to cross a creek 4 times is a bit much for a walking round, they should rearrange the holes so that you only need to cross twice, this could be easily done and would bring more walkers.
This course has challenging greena
The course is great for new and moderate players with holes that challenge both your long and short game. The greens have many different looks that makes putting fun. They have a great friendly staff and the practicing putting green and driving range are both great facilities.
Nice course, challenging enough but not too difficult for an intermediate player like myself
Course was a little expensive for the field quality, but other than that I enjoyed playing this course.
Great Twilight Deal
Got a full 18 in with a 5:22pm tee time and $31/person twilight rate. The pace of play at this hour was fantastic! We finished in three hours. The rough is a little too rough for me; it could use a good trim. Watch out for the foxes at the 3rd hole...they'll steal anything from your cart! Lunch, GPS, cell phones, golf gloves, wallets - you name it!
Excellent value for a well maintained course.
The course has forgiving fairways and challenging greens. Goo. Mix of long and short pparagraph three's as well as long part fives. I teed off at 11:30 expecting a big slow down but the pace of play was brisk. Very scenic surroundings as well.
Greens have reently been aerated, putting can be a challenge
Los Lagos is a good local course, well maintained and very busy. Pace moves well to do 18 holes in 4 hours. Offers good views of the hills and MT Hamilton, and friendly fox often come to visit.
Nice greens!
The course is wide open. Well maintained with nice greens! Pace of play was a little slow but it was okay because the course was very nice.
This golf course in Fort Mohave, Arizona could be a nice place to play. At this time, that is not the case.
My foursome was faced with very strong winds. The fairways were not in good shape and most of the greens were in average condition. Some of the bunkers had large rocks in them and were very hard. For the money Los Lagos is asking to play their course, this is not a good deal. We were lucky and received a big discount through Golfnow.com! No one in my group wants to come back and play this course again!
This comment is under the golf course in San Jose, CA.
Thank you golf4dog.. your info is correct. The Los Lagos I meant to refer to was the one in Laughlin, Az.
If in any way, my review was interpreted to mean the one in California, I apologize to them whole heartedly.
