Golfer Reviews
Winter conditions on fairways, greens fast and undulating
Many fairways are in good condition but some were damaged and bone dry, not easy to see how they can get repaired!
Greens were generally OK just couple of holes with singed edges, but very fast and tough to hold any downhill puts.
Still think course is weird with short par 3s and very long par 5s, long holes inconsistent with overall length of course and rating
Good place for the casual golfer
My only complaint is the course charged one of the people in our party and tried to charge me as well, even after I had already paid the full amount on golfnow.com. They didn't have it in there computers that the total had been paid in full. We are trying to get the person who was charged reimbursed.
Frost Delay day but overall good Golf day
Frost delay, but course made all efforts to get everyone out without many issues. Overall good day course was in good condition.
Great greens under wet condition.
Very nice relaxing course. Fun for all levels. A few holes with water hazard make short holes more interesting. I love the greens there. They are as good condition as some courses that charge twice as much. Thanks. Will come back again.
Really good course for beginners and seasoned golfers alike
Some of the fairways had areas of dirt instead of grass. We had to move our ball to get it on grass a couple of times. That made the course feel a little expensive for what you get.
Still enjoyable. Would play it again.
Love this course.
Great course that fits my eye. Five par fives on a course is always fun!
not good value
decent greens, good fairways,drains well.
they want too much dough for short course.
A very good course
Overall a very enjoyable round of golf. All Staff members very helpful and friendly. Only change is the golf carts are pretty old and show lots of use, They really need to be replaced
Take a drive to Los Lagos
Local value course with good greens and varied lies. Pace of play could be good or slower - check ahead. It is a good walk or ride and the environment is very scenic (red tail foxes on 3). Try it, you'll like it.
Nice course, can be challenging
We played just days after a weekend of heavy rains so the maintanance crew had not been able to mow the course. The rough was like a U.S. Open Sunday, lush green and long. Carts were restricted to the cart paths which along with the tall grass really slowed things down. Play the blue tee's and the course is more challenging than the slope and course rating would indicate. A good value for the money. 2 par 5's at 550 and 567 yards, 3 par 3's over 180 yards.
OK course but great staff
This course isn't the most difficult, but not a bad course for a city course. Was playing and it started raining on the back 9, and on the 18th tee box my cart died. Called the pro shop and they were our with a new cart in a matter of minutes as well as they gave me a coupon for a free cart the next time I play. I will return because of the staff alone.
Great Course for a City Course
The staff is extremely friendly, was on the 18th when it started raining and my cart died. Personnel was out in a matter of minutes with a new cart, plus I received a coupon for a free cart the next time I play for my inconvenience. Will go back because of the people.
think twice
My reservation was made through GOLF NOW...(1 ST MISTAKE!) due to the server not working. So I arrived at the course and was told by a VERY RUDE individual that they had NO RECORD OF ME! So instead of getting the online rate ($62) I was told my rate was going to be $79.
Given that the course "appeared" to be first class and the fact that there was service in the parking lot for taking clubs to a cart, I said what the heck. I did receive free range balls but for that money even here in SAN DIEGO you get that. The greens were extremely spongy...not a single ball would stick, they just bounced to the back or off the greens, Fairways were in pretty good shape.
So, I tell you to check the other courses in the area, you'll pay as much but for better conditions. I was told that by the Bellman at my hotel.
Looks easy but watch out for Rough
Fairly short course, but tight fairways with a lot of heavy rough. calls for straight shots. Good for Seniors.
The weekend rounds at Los Logos are long and painful. The track is well maintained but the layout is poor for walking.
I'd only recommend this track for golfers who have plenty of time on their hands. The pace of play is detrimental to building a good rythm in your game. Lots of waiting, enough to let the muscles cool down, gets in the way of a smooth, enjoyable round of golf. Great for beginners, not so much for the experienced golfer.
Good price from Golf Now, always in good shape, sometimes slow
The first 8 holes were quick, then we ran into a slow foursome. course was in decent shape but a lot of the fairway was being worked on. (good and bad)
overall a good day.
Weekday play
Course is shorter than most making it play easy. Variety of terrain features: hills, water, trees, etc to make it challenging but not so difficult that it takes the fun out. Always walk this course. When walking, the tiring walk is making the trip across the bridge twice.
Make sure you keep food in your bag because the foxes love to raid your cart! Fun watching the foxes play along the holes next to the creek. Watched a young fox chase a ball, pick it up and carry it into the woods.. Funny!
Challenging course for a duffer.
Par 68 course with some long par 5's and challenging 3's & 4's. Hazards include water, lots of sand, trees, and protected environmental areas! On holes 3 & 4 watch your lunch &/ snack as the foxes are hungry and bold. On the 16th tee watch for sun bathing ground squirrels.
The greens are large and split level. It is fairly typical to find the flag on the slope between levels. Putting in two can be a challenge.
Fairways tend to be rather swampy and over watered and the greens could use a little more TLC.
With that said, it is a challenging course and the pace of play is quite good. The atmosphere is very relaxed.
I recommend Los Lagos and I go back quite often.
I believe that you booked your reservation at Los Lagos in San Jose, CA, since the $62 that you booked for is our rate, and based upon your location, were trying to play the Los Lagos near Laughlin, Nevada, since their rate is $79. It has happened on more than one occasion.
