Golfer Reviews
Rude pro shop manger
I was told that I would have to play with a group of gentlemen. I wanted to play solo it was not specified on the notes. I kindly asked for a refund, and the gentleman decided to lecture me for no reason and told me good luck. I don’t know where you used to play golf just very rude unprofessional. The gentleman obviously has an anger problem and should be addressed.Plus the course was aerated, and I was not informed about that as well until I got to the golf course!
Good, not worth the cost
I know the course was in season, but I played 2 courses the 2 days prior that were significantly better and cost less. one word, Value.
Very basic layout, very slow play
Staff was friendly and they have a good practice area. Course was in good condition. Aprons around the greens were especially lush. Front 9 took around 2:40 to play. A decent option for the price in Myrtle Beach area.
Slowest pace of play I’ve ever played
Course conditions and set up was not too bad. At one point we had four different groups on one hole. We had to wait ten minutes for every shot. If they spaced out tee times correctly it wouldn’t have been a bad time
Course was in good condition. Shop staff was rude.
First time playing there and got paired up with some great people. Cart girl was friendly and came by just when we needed something. The old man in the shop was very rude. He needs to be replaced. Customer service is NOT his line of work. Other than that it was a great course to play on.
Beachwood golf club
Not the greatest and not really worth the money even though it was cheap.
Overpriced. Over booked. No carts to honour T time. Started 30mins late. No enforcement to maintain pace of play.
A great course for senior players
This is a nice older course that needs some tender loving care. The conditions are good for this time of year. The staff is terrific and very accommodating. My partner was injured before he finished and they gave him a rain check. While it has sufficient length it’s not too difficult. I think it’s a perfect track for senior and junior golfers. I will definitely play it again.
Good value, terrible pace
Beachwood was our first course on a weekend trip, and all things considered, it didn’t disappoint. We learned early on that Myrtle Beach hadn’t seen rain since early March, but even with that, the fairways and greens were in good shape. Obviously without rain, the course was dry, so the greens were quick and balls hit into the fairway bounce and roll another 30-40 yards, but I don’t find many fairways so it didn’t affect my game that much 😂. The only negative was the pace- the board said the pace was 4.5 hours for 18 holes, but we were on the course for 5.5. I didn’t see a marshal once encouraging groups to move along, and the carts didn’t have GPS/monitors to alert groups to pick it up. I get it’s the busy season, but even a marshal encouraging pace of play would’ve made this better.
Nice Course
Relaxed vibe on a Saturday afternoon. Greens were in good shape with a few being interesting. Approaches were not too bad either. Our group said they would play again on our next visit.
