Nice corse
On vaca from Washington State. I’m a 10 handi and played with my wife who is a beginner level. Course was good for both our games. Enjoyed the people very much. Southerners are especially nice. Staff is very attentive. Good value. Would recommend Beachwood.

Terrible Greens
Greens are terrible. Played here now 2 years in a row on vaca. Slow and bumpy. My advice. Be aggressive on first putt and give yourself an auto 2 putt. Local members don’t like the outta towners. Not going back.

Nothing Special but Fun to Play
This is a basic golf course — as there are certainly better options in Myrtle Beach. High handicappers will enjoy because it doesn’t beat you up and they won’t loose many balls. The course needs some TLC — as it’s spotty in places and the tee boxes and cart paths need some work. The staff is very friendly.

Worker on course
My biggest complaint is the worker on the course. On hole one he said we need to hurry up. He proceeded to be rude and asked if my kids ever golfed before and was making comments. So we rushed to hole 2 where he was waiting and watching us. I told him we don’t need a babysitter. I told him to go to the people ahead of us and yell at them. I don’t know what the hurry was because we were waiting for the people ahead of the whole time. Worst golf experience ever. I was so mad after the first hole.

Overall an enjoyable day! We played the course on the end of its aeration process but the fairways were pristine!

First beechwood round.
Was a great little course couldn’t beat the staff they was remarkable the course was great a lot of non challenging hole far as drives greens was average but for the price it can’t be beat!!!

Not great
They started us off on split tees, we started on back. Back greens were long and very soggy, not much of a true roll. Finish back nine and go to play front, 1 4-some on green, one in fairway and 4 groups waiting to tee off on number 1. It was a very slow second 9. Greens on front looked like they had been worked over pretty good and were so bumpy from ruts it was hard to putt any distance.
But the kicker was they were core aerating the tee boxes as we were playing. Big muddy plugs you had to kick away before you could tee off.

Beach wood disappointment
They had plugged the tees and sone fairways the morning we played. Most grass on tees dead. Greens had not been mowed it appeared and we were very disappointed in golf course and pave of play. Teed off at 8:52 and finished at 1:45 PM. Not a very good experience and they should have let us know they were going to pull large plugs on tees and fairways that day
