Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Half and half
They started us on the back and played a 2 hour nine. Greens were great. smooth sand cart paths were awesome . At the turn they must have put a few groups out on one and that nine took almost 3 hours. Big disappointment for an otherwise beautiful round. They need to be mindful about the timing of the groups starting on 10 knowing they are going to the front.

Great course, will be back for sure
Played this course 2 days after the tropical depression rolled through. Course was in great shape after 3 inches of rain. only 3 holes were cart path only. I really like the layout, some truly challenging holes.

eagle experience
We played Eagle Nest on 8/28. It was a very hot day and we couldn't get early tee time as there was a group of 24 ahead of us.Pace was good until someone rolled their cart into a pond.Things slowed to a crawl after 6th hole.Staff was very apologetic but took us over 5 hrs on a 90+ heat! Course was in decent shape and we will definitely play here again soon.
