About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Another great course
Great layout. Greens smooth and run great. Slow play was the bad thing. We had a good time though
Average course
Course was just OK. Fairways were in rough shape due to renovations. Enjoyable round but expensive for the conditions. Will try it again after work is complete.
Good times happen here
Course is well designed. Staff does a great job making you feel welcome here.
An OK outing at the Nest
Eagle Nest was an ok experience. Great layout, beautiful landscape but almost every fairway was in repair - trenches and sod. Looks like irrigation work. Greens were large, undulating and above average speed. All-in-all, a pleasant day at a good pace but lacking the return draw.

Slickest Greens ever experienced
Beautiful scenery/course. Greens were so slick, I think the pga needs to stimp meter them! Made par very , very difficult. Tee'd off back. Starter was EMPHATIC about keeping time(2hrs) . Kept saying "Your first tee time, so keep pace...(older gentlemen). When rounding out back 9- there 3 groups waiting one 1, a group in the fairway and a group on the green. We finished our round in 1hr50 min. Starter said we have to wait. unacceptable. I did receive a rain check from Travis in the clubhouse. His partner was very rude and condescending when I questioned the expiration date _partner changed it to current day- said "It doesn't expire. So did not get to finish since starter was not on first tee and had to drive around looking for him. Found him over near cart return. Was not too concerned with my situation as he was engaged in conversation with a woman. Expressed my discontent and left to get rain check. Would have liked to play front 9. Learned 2 holes were open on front. No one Marshalled, hence the back up. Never start off back if there is not a tee time for you making the turn!!
The greens were excellent!! The fairways we're alittle mudding from either rain or to much watering! Overall, nice course and would play again.

Nice course
Great course in very good condition and friendly and helpful staff.
Quick round it was a great way to start football Sunday
Played as a twosome first group out, 3 hour round. Cart path only due to heavy rain on the day before. Condition of greens and fairways were very good. We loved the GPS in the cart.

Excellent course and staff was perfect . Pace of play very very slow . Waited almost every hole and took
4.5 hours to play . A value course I’d recommend to friends
