About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Decent Course
Average course, 2 of the greens had temporary greens which was quite upsetting due to still paying $50 per person to play. The greens were in pretty good shape as well as the fairways. Pace of play was pretty slow, having to wait a few minutes before each shot made for a long day at the golf course.
Nice Course
This was a nice course, great for the money. Staff was incredibly friendly. The cart was running of of juice at the end but we made it through. The tee boxes were a little rough but again not too bad. Two holes had a temporary green so it was a little confusing, I passed a group that told me about the second one. Glad I played would highly recommend.
Great Day
Had a a great day on the course, fairways and greens where in great shape, pace of play was typical 4 hours paired up with a threesome as I was a single, everybody was great
Nice Course
Very nice course for the money. Fairways were a little spotting on grass. Kind of hard to tell the difference between the rough and the fairway. Greens were in really good condition and a lot of movement. Would go back. Golf carts are on the old side. Had to stand on brake pedal to get mine to stop. Almost ran into another cart going to first Tee.
Great time at Eagles Nest
The nice started paired us with a single and we had a marvelous time. It was enjoyable and we look forward to coming again!
Overbooked
Don’t plan on this course if you’re in a hurry. They started us on the back 9 at 8:07a. The time we got back to hole 1 we had 6-8 carts in front of us waiting to hit as well as 15 carts behind us.

Perspective from the Red Tees
This course offered plenty of beautiful lush greens to look at throughout the course with swamp areas and water hazards. Most of the fairways were pretty wide which allowed me to keep my tee shots in play. Overall, the course conditions were better than most of the public courses in the area I have played with a few exceptions here and there. The greens were recently aerated and rolled pretty fast. Definitely worth the value and I would return here to play if in the area again.
Great Course
Great course for the first time playing it. Nice wide fairways and not a tone of water in play. Very nice layout - we played the white tees and it played a little longer than our home course which was nice. Pretty straight forward as far as challenging goes. We will play this again in the very near future.
