About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

Golfer Reviews
Eagle Nest worthwhile
In NMB for 2 weeks. Picked this course to play and I really enjoyed my round. I played early, 730. Played by myself and completed in less than 3 hours. Course was in good shape. I was shocked the tips were 8186 yards. That’s right. Didn’t play those ones. I struggled with the greens compared to those up north. I will play again.
Eagle Nest GC
The greens were very receptive, the fairways wide, the mix of par 3,4 and 5s was excellent. 17 is a beast of a par 5 ! The staff was terrific.
9/7/21
Course in decent condition overall. Nice greens, tee boxes and bit chewed up. Fairways were just ok…grass a little thin in a lot of spots. Still had a good time. Starter and rangers vey friendly.
Labor Day Weekend
Great time playing Eagle Nest. The weather was terrific and the course was in great shape. This was my first time playing here and it’s a challenging layout. The finishing three holes are a great test at the end.
Overall Fun Experience
Staff here were very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable especially for the area. I am not from here but even for where I live price was good. I will preface this by saying I do not golf often, but overall condition was just ok. Some holes were nice but several were fairly beat up. I’m not just talking about tee boxes, some of the greens were not great. That being said I wouldn’t say no to playing here again if I’m in the area.
Eagle nest Course review, Nature’s Beauty
Course is absolutely beautiful, great staff, I would rate the greens about a 8 . From California so the Bent grass was very slow assuming it was high
Challenging course and beautiful layout. Well worth the fee.
Lowest Round
Course overall in very good shape. There was some rain the night before so there were some soft spots particularly in front of the greens. The greens were in great shape and putted true. They usually do not double book off the back 9 so it is open at the turn if you are first off. Staff is great.
