Eagle Nest Golf Club
About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

April
Love the track, as my inner John Daly imagination from the nest, appreciate the game. Greens a tad slow playing in April. Staff was very nice and was appreciative of course advice.
Great round
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in great shape and we had an extremely enjoyable experience! Thanks Eagle Nest!!!
Great for all skill levels. Ideal tee placements for women golfers.
Layout can be as challenging as you wish. Can play long. Pace of play was excellent. Cant say enough about friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Love The Course
Eagle Nest is a favorite of mine but a 5 hour round gets frustrating. The course is in great shape. Maybe a ranger could help get things moving a little faster.
Beautiful well kept
Great day at this beautiful course. Fairways, greens and tee boxes in excellent condition. Lovely landscaping many azaleas in full bloom on this Masters weekend now my favorite course in Myrtle Beach
Course is not lined with homes
Nice course. Great staff. Greens were great. Thank you.
Serene setting
I've played here half a dozen times over the years but not for several years. We played in March so conditions were less than prime. Some sand on the greens. Rough dormant. Tall oaks and cypress swamps make this an eye pleasing play. I'm 68 and played the white tees which were fine. My wife played the reds. Be careful as there is a tendency at Myrtle to sneak the blocks forward to speed up play. Several times she went back to the golf tees which is where the women's should have been. Greens are mounded somewhat and an errant shot on the edge will roll off. Rarely is there a bunker to carry to a flag but the front corner bunkers wrap toward the front and with the green a bit elevated, you aren't going to run much on, especially in spring. Driving areas pretty generous and i didn't always hit driver. There was some natural, almost dune type bunkering which i didn't recall seeing before. I thought it was a good addition. At least 6 tees going all the way to 8400 yds. A few hidden ponds. Overall an enjoyable round.
Been a couple of years but it felt familiar quickly.
The course is long enough and tough enough to challenge any normal golfer. I am 79 but played the white tees. If you are of a similar vintage DO NOT do as I did. The course is in good shape and the greens demand your full attention. Sand traps are quite playable, and I visited several, so you can recover with a decent wedge game. I intend to play there again next week.
Good course
Conditions were great pace of pay excellent, nice layout - will definitely return when back in the area
