Ventura Country Club
About
The golf course at the Ventura Country Club, situated east of Orlando near many major highways and the airport, is semi-private but the facility welcomes outside play. It is a short course that features undulating greens with sudden breaks. The golf course has challenging par-3 holes that put a premium on shot accuracy. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout as well as water hazards on 14 holes. Most of the well-manicured fairways are lined with homes. The par-5, 13th hole is Ventura Country Club's signature hole. It requires a shot from an elevated tee over water and past thick forestry on the left and an approach shot to small, well protected green that slopes back to front.

Golfer Reviews
very nice indeed
Best of the 6 courses we played this week Wekiva next followed by Dubsbread, Metro West, Rio Pinar and casselberry sucked
Caution: Do not play here
Where to begin…I suppose the beginning. Club house layout is confusing. Driving range requires driving in your car to access (balls provided in a grocery bag). No starter to confirm tee times are off on time. Course Marshall did not understand pace of play instruction to slow golfers. Course in sub optimal state and under construction. Unfriendly staff. Highly do not recommend!
Nice course
Course was in good shape, played in under four hours, staff very friendly & accommodating, would recommend, great value for the money.
First round since the re-opening
Several changes to the greens and a new green/location on #18. Fairways were okay, greens okay, rough a bit inconsistent, tee boxes very scraggly. Good value for the price.
Course under renovation
Cart paths changing, GPS does not recognize the paths and golf carts stop. Zero hole signage. Fairways and greens in good condition.
Good course, great condition for a very good deal
This is a great course, especially if you can get in it for the price I did, it was basically a steal but, as always there was a bit of arrogance in the pro shop and also with the starter in regards to GolfNow, non members and someday these people in all these CCs will realize that anyone walking in the door, even if they are via GolfNow might be potential members. They did not block their tee sheet, tried to blame GolfNow as all the courses do that do not know how to use the system to block their T-Sheet always do but they did get me out in the middle of the event just fine and I had a great day. The Marshall/Ranger out on the course was a great guy and made the day good.
Nice renovation, great green complexes
I played the course the day before they closed for renovations, and then a couple of weeks after they re-opened.
The new green complexes are awesome. Bigger, but with more slope, and importantly, varied and interesting multiple slopes on each green.
I wish they spent a little more on draining the fairways...there are still many soggy spots.
But I like the design, and I will play there again.
Good Ol Boys, and not the good ones
From check-in, when they complained that '"GolfNow should not have given you that tee time", till having the Marshall tell our foursome that the twosome behind us wants us to play faster when we were on a 1:40 pace, the Staff here proved that Locals rule the Greens.
The overall experience was not conducive to a pleasant round of golf. I would not recommend this course unless you were a local, tourist need not play here. Too many other friendlier courses to play.
even better than before
I like Ventura...played it at least once a month before the renovation and look forward to playing regularly again. The some of the new greens are slightly repositioned and have varying slopes and ridges that make for some tough putting lines...the heavy equipment that was needed for the remodel tore up the cart paths quite a bit in several areas but once that is repaved should be fine. There were a lot of walkers on the course and the people I played with were awful but still got around in about 3 1/2 hours which was not too bad.
